We have a second Saturday hike taking place in the afternoon. We are heading out to Ranchos Palos Verdes to go on the Level 3, ocean scenic Trump Trail. Your scheduled LATH Hike Lead will be Carol Martinez. This is a great lower level hike for those still getting acquainted with hiking. Not only is it an easier hike, it will also have some amazing views. We are expecting a hot afternoon so be sure to come well prepared with all your hiking essentials such as sun-protective gear and plent of water. We want you to have a great experience so be well equipped with everything that will make your hike easier to manage. We look forward to seeing you there! #LATH

Hello LA Trail Hikers, my name is Jason Bazalar, and I'll be your hike lead for Wednesday evening's hike. It will be a Level 5 hike, so make sure you come ready with all your nighttime hiking gear plus snacks, water, and some good energy. Read all the hike details on our website for this hike (http://latrailhikers.com/hikes/evening-hikes/griffith-park-merry-go-round-evening/). Remember, we only have a 2 hour time frame to try and complete this hike. Bring plenty of water, you'll be drinking a good amount during our workout (more than you may expect), especially since it's been quite warm in the evening. Also, please make sure you carry your own water during the hike. Bring a good snack for our break point. Bring comfortable shoes with grip (no vans, converse, or other flat-bottom shoes). Please make sure you make use of the restroom before arriving, or before the designated meeting time. I recommend you having a light snack/meal before the hike, as well as a sip or drink of water. As always, this is not a good hike for beginner hikers, as it might be more challenging than you may expect. It's best for you to have a good first (night) hike as opposed to bad first experience. Unlike our day hikes, we only have about 2 hours to make sure everyone completes the trail. If you are a beginner, please consider hikes Levels 1 to 4 before attempting a higher level hike. It'll help you gauge the different levels. And, if you'll be attending, please make sure you RSVP to this event (so we get a better idea of how many people may be attending). If this hike matches your hiking experience level, I'll see you tomorrow!
