I wrote my friend Maria a poem as a gift for her birthday. When I handed her the scrolled paper with the poem on it, puttled together with ribbon, she gave me a hug. I'm so glad she loves her poem!

The photo above features 2 small ceramic pieces Maria made. She gave me a tub of them to place along the labyrinth path in our cohousing community. I placed 2 together in each place, so they become chimes when there's a breeze, making a tinkly sound that brings joy to walkers. ~:0)

I walk the wooded labyrinth path in the rain.

❄️ No matter where you are on the planet, the change in Earth's tilt is creating a seasonal shift in your world. Here in New England, on the continent of North America in the Northern Hemisphere, we are experiencing Winter. The Solstice is on Sunday and it is an occasion for gathering our energies and spending time in reflection. We are preparing to let go of 2025 and welcome in 2026. A new, sparkly year full of possibilities!

Handheld meditation tool created by one of my event's participants

🍁 🍂 🌻 Happy Autumn, Everyone (in the Northern Hemisphere)!

On Sunday I led a labyrinth event at Fivesparks in Harvard, MA. Five women participated. I read poetry, we walked an illuminated labyrinth, then we created handheld meditation tools to take home and use as a means of finding Balance through quiet moments for ourselves in our days and in our lives. The creative energy was flowing and it was amazing to watch community form around everyone present.

It's telling that everyone who signed up were women. We are still the people who need to practice including ourselves in the balance of all we juggle each day, each week, each year of our everyday lives. We need other women to remind us to do so. We reach out and connect no matter where we are.

May this new season of beginnings be restful and rich with connections "old" and new as the darker days set in.
