Dear best friend,

I´m pretty sure you don´t even know that I´m addressing specifically you. We are friends, yes, very close ones at that, but I recall you calling someone else your “best friend”, and that´s okay. They have been in your life for much, much longer, and you two have possibly been through a lot more than we two have,

Nevertheless I want you to know that you´re extremely important to me. You´re a fixed constant in my life, and I am really scared of losing you. I literally freak out whenever I feel we´re drifting apart…then again I know that I´m too clingy, and that I´m overreacting, because every time we stop talking because life´s a bitch and we have no time, I realise nothing has changed. You´re still there, Im still there, and we´re still friends.

I really need to tell you how wonderful you are. You´l probably go “Awww, you”, but you have to understand - I always had difficulties to make friends. And then you suddenly step into my life and accept me how I am, unconditionally. You aren´t afraid to call me out when I´m acting like a bitch, but you also always support me. And I´m gladly willing to do the same. My door´s always open - anytime, anywhere.
