By majority demand, I present Ladybug’s costume redesigns!

(I’m a French imposter and French Canadian, I tried doing research to make sure I found the correct words for Parisian French. I know only enough French to introduce myself and order at a cafe but I’m trying my best. French speakers, I’m sorry for butchering it lmao. I also love that the informal French word for polkadots translates to “little peas”)

I like the idea of Ladybug changing her costume to make it more personalized! (especially after her first one is hyper-sexualized by the media) so the world lost ass privileges

But we start the comic out with the old costume :)

Since episode 22 is already out, we all know that Adrien won’t be reading the letter - but it’s still exciting to see marinette as the villian! People already expected it with Lady Chaos, but it turned out to be Adriens aunt, Amélie, that was the villian. I’m very curious to see how episode 20 will play out when we’ve already seen what happens after

EDIT: so apparently Heartfixer is AFTER Lady Chaos, in the Heartfixer trailer you can see the Gabriel drawing that Marinette started with at the end of Lady Chaos. Adrien might read the letter after all!

Since Maribug is in her "Accidental Antagonist" Arc rn, I thought It would be fitting to draw her evilfully petting her very evil kittycat~🐱🔥

+ Other hairstyles I actually think could be a nice alternative to the Pixie Cut so we can keep the little red antennae she has!

I saw the spoiler Leaks for "Riginarazione" (ep19) and the first thing I thought is that Maribug looks so much like her Nonna, Gina!!! (who's the akumatized person of the day) 🥺💖

My next thought was that I remembered that the day before seeing the spoilers I was thinking about which haircut Mari would have once she grows up and one of the cuts I thought about was indeed a pixie cut like this one! Crazy they actually answered my thoughts the next day! The other options would be a single bun, ponytail, another type of short hair. (I later saw she was planned to have this cut since 2015 or something, anyways)

I would love for her to keep her long hair (and also hope to see her with untied long hair in s6 at least once, before she decides to cut them short), but we know in 3D animation characters tend to have short/tied hair cuz it's easier to animate (it's starting to become way too obvious tho, everyone's hair is shortening lmao)🥴

BUT it makes sense for Mari, as shortening your hair in characters tends to mean "Starting New" and after this Lie Plotline she's def gonna need a new start!💗

We can blame the daily trauma these kids have to endure for this sudden choice of chopping the hair.. Or maybe she has long hair when she's in her civilian form and then she gets short hair when she transforms into Ladybug? (so they don't have to worry about animating the hair during akuma fights but we still keep long hair Marinette, dunno)

Idk if any of my edited ones are better than canon, but I think we should keep some form of bug antennae, possibly, the OG is Great anyway, she's slaying fr💗

(I think she might actually already have the little "antenna" tufts -from my Edit on the right- in Canon, they're just a lil shorter than mine, now that I see them from here⬇️ So cute!!!! I'm sat!😌)
