It's weird how often Locks end up in my dreams, but I don't usually remember them this vividly. It wasn't really Lock-centric until the very end, but it was in a very big and frightening way when it arrived. I'm just gonna copypasta the whole thing from my dreamlog over at Dreamwidth. Italicizing the first bit before Locks showed up if anyone wants to just cut through to that, as Locks are the dream's only relevance to Tumblr, but I just felt like including the rest for build-up/context for those interested.
Dream started out with my hanging around in a recurring Manoa/Nuuanu-like dream valley, driving (riding) around in a car to various places. At one point I stop by alt-Roosevelt high school to chat with some buddies (most of whom are not real people, just assumed to be friends by dream-intuition), which incidentally involves mostly talking about snakes and looking at/handling this one particularly large and unnaturally-colored Burmese python. I then hitch a ride with someone to go elsewhere.
In the process of gallivanting through the valley on narrow, twisting roads, we suddenly get flagged by some cop of some sort, who chased us, forcing us to flee for some reason, which involved taking turns at cliff-edges way too quickly and scaring the shit out of me. I hate dreams with uncontrollably driving, they're literally my most dreaded nightmares, but since I was pseudo-lucid, I think I was controlling it in a limited sense so that all the ridiculous turns we took would still improbably land us down on a road SOMEWHERE and miraculously keep us going in the right direction.
I eventually got fed up with that and just left near a recurring shopping center, which for some reason had a strange military-looking subway/train thing attached to it via a long dirt path. I went over to it, careful to only walk on stone lest I leave tracks, and waited by the gate in the fence for the train to come by. The cars looked subway, but it was conspicuously above ground. Despite the fact that I was me and people interacted with me like I was me, while I was waiting I'd occasionally take third person pans to look around and the person in my spot was a dude with an umbrella who looked suspiciously like the Inspector for clothes and hat, though was a little too short, had slightly darker skin, and had no style of hair visible from under the hat (as opposed to the Inspector's messy ponytail and straggly bangs).
Eventually the cop arrived, looking around. He was highly suspicious of me but there was nothing to give me away. He then looked down at some kind of digital map, and using dream powers I got a good look at it, as well; it had red footprints scattered across the map that appeared to have been tracking my position over time, but when it got to the shopping center, it actually branched north where I hadn't gone and then disappeared mysteriously, so I thought perhaps he wasn't looking for me after all. Eventually he just buggered off and I continued to wait for the train.
Then things took a turn for the chaotic and VERY strange; Hons showed up with a small posse of buddies I didn't recognize save Yahn, but they were all Locks (given the general sense of emptiness/nothingness I usually get from them in dreams). I tried to make myself even more inconspicuous, tilting my hat down and trying to avoid eye-contact, but when then Hons came right up to me and I found that I was incapable of looking away, like I had lost autonomy and was forced to look right up into his eyes. On his face was an utterly sinister grin. Despite the fact that he said nothing, there was just this feeling from him as if he had said "I found you."
Then the train arrived and I got on board, trying to shake those feelings. Hons remained behind for a moment, not even looking at his buddies, but they seemed to understand something from him and they all scattered in different directions as he slowly sauntered into the train after me. I was determined to get away from him, but in small train cars separated only by narrow doors, that was impossible and he followed me.
After the train had begun to move, suddenly Hons gestured to me. He said something that I don't really remember, I'm not even sure if he verbally said anything or just willed his intent into being, but suddenly I became Red, or at least some kind of strange fragment/avatar/facsimile of him, as ever-growing, roiling, writhing, raging coils of crimson tar black maws burst from my body in every direction in an incredibly painful yet strangely liberating way, which began to tear up the train, searching for souls to pulverize. I'm not sure if there were others on the train, I do remember there being more people at the station but I lost most of my cognition at this point as I was trapped in Red's scattered perception and couldn't break out of it despite having been lucid just moments before.
Hons got the heck outta there, not because of "me", but because what "I" was about to attract. I didn't catch any glimpses of his other buddies, either.
Just as I'd finished off the remainders of the car and began to decimate the track and the landscape I was on (a dry plateau overlooking a coastline by this time), suddenly Aryian showed up, burning with rage such that it emanated in an utterly terrifying way from his human form as he approached. But he didn't approach as human for long as suddenly his Lock form emerged from his human one, flowing out towards me with maw agape, though for some reason he wasn't just a standard Lock in form, and had instead emerged with multiple faces/maws as well, not as chaotic as Red would, though, and seeming more a form for function for combating the horrible twisted multi-mawed mess I had become.
Ary's multiple black maws enveloped my vision, and suddenly I snapped awake.
