andor members of the empire/isb as recent popstar babygirls:
(i love all these ladies so no shade intended)
DEDRA MEERO: selena gomez
actually good at a lot of things, but no one seems to notice it, or else people don't want to recognise it. has been through a lot of shit. just needs a nice boy to love her.
ORSON KRENNIC: sabrina carpenter
theater kid drama queen. shades everyone possible, looks good while doing it, drinks a lot of espressos, always dressed well. will give you the side eye and / or character assassinate you.
SYRIL KARN: olivia rodrigo
yearns for love where he's actually seen for who he is. always worried he's not good enough when he has plenty of reason to have more confidence in himself. sometimes just wants to scream into the void.
LIO PARTAGAZ: taylor swift
been around for ages. has always done his very best. good with words. trusted and loved by many but also tired of everyone's shit. so tired of everyone's shit.
LONNI JUNG: miley cyrus
has lowkey hustled and done well for years. literally just wants to do his work and then dip out so he can spend time with his family.
HEERT: chappell roan
sings the pink pony club and hot to go on the regular and you can't convince me otherwise.
CORV: carly rae jepsen
minding his own business, trying to live his best life. honestly just wants to do his job with minimal fuss. catches strays for no reason.
LAGRET: gracie abrams
more competent than people give him credit for but never beating the nepo baby allegations.
ISB Supervisor Captain Lagret I apologise to you, I only now understand how intelligent you are and why you're one of the smartest the ISB will ever see.
He's a middle ranking Supervisor who goes with the flow, does his job well enough to retain his rank and not get demoted, but not well enough to get promoted.
Because Supervisors who are keen and hungry get killed [Heert] or eaten up by the machine they spend their lives fixing and improving [Dedra]. And officers who are high enough to be entrusted with some secrets are punished if those below them fail [Partagaz].
Lagret isn't surprised that Partagaz wants some time alone. He knows what Partagaz is about to do to himself, because they both know the system they work for is merciless and won't ever truly look out for them.
Lagret walks a line finer than Dedra ever did. And he's still going.
Andor S2 Poster and Special Look
The poster goes so hard. It just reminds me of how close to Rogue One we’re getting.
I also like the theory that the Ghorman Massacre is possibly worldwide with multiple massacres happening. While we see Stormtroopers shooting peaceful protesters in the show, we could see the infamous ISD landing on protestors on the other side of the planet.
It’s just nice to see K2SO and U-Wings again.
I’m really excited to see the end of this show.
S1 Episode 4
Partagaz: Storage issues with the displaced? Lagret: Ongoing. Partagaz: As is your unfinished memorandum of recommendations regarding the problem. Lagret: My staff is awaiting an assessment from Arvala-Six's ministerial director. Partagaz: Because they've done such an excellent job so far, hmm? Lagret: [silence] ........... Partagaz: We are health care providers. We treat sickness. We identify symptoms. We locate germs, whether they arise from within or have come from the outside. The longer we wait to identify a disorder, the harder it is to treat the disease. Do you understand my meaning Lagret? Lagret: Yes, sir. Partagaz: Don't trouble yourself writing the memorandum. I'll reassign it.
Partagaz has lost patience with Lagret because Lagret isn't able to write a brief, easy to read message with a solution to a problem. Which is because the ministerial director doesn't consider undertaking an assessment on displaced people a priority.
Which is the problem.
Partagaz tries - and fails - to get Lagret to understand this. The longer they wait to identify the disorder (what to do with the displaced on Arvala-Six) the harder it is to treat the disease (open anger, collective anger, violence, anti-Imperial activity, open rebellion).
Lagret hasn't got a clue as to Partagaz's meaning. And Partagaz knows it.
What really pisses Partagaz off is that this isn't a freshly hired Supervisor who's unable, or unwilling, to put pressure on an official in order to get the work done - this is his second in command. An ISB Captain.
I'm speculating that Lagret would take over if Partagaz suddenly dropped dead (RIP) and someone had to take over. Lagret is the only one with four tiles. Lagret could muddle through a standard status update meeting, but he's not cut out to take Partagaz's place. Partagaz wouldn't have recommended him for promotion. It would make sense for Partagaz's replacement to be an outside hire. If an existing Supervisor was promoted to Major, they wouldn't get the respect and obedience of their former peers by jumping a rank. They'd get resentment, sucking up, and constant attacks.
