I'm so worried that I won't be able to claim unemployment. There's so many issues with it. I'm also dreading paying rent tomorrow. I don't have much to my name. Once I pay rent I won't have much left. Plus the stay at home order has been extended to April 30th. Which leaves me another 4 weeks without pay. I'm scared. I'm really freaking scared. I don't know how I'm gonna survive. Just praying for a miracle. If you can help me in any way I'd appreciate it. I hate asking, but I'm at a loss. I don't know where to turn.

Idk if this is better than being laid off but here we are. I thought having a job in the medical field would be secure but its not.... this is the reality of Coronavirus. I have bills to pay and have no idea how I am going to pay them. I know this is happening to alot of people right now. I hope no one has to worry about what i have to worry about. 😔 I will keep praying for everyones health and jobs. We are all in this together.

... just had my lay-off notice from the major telecom company I have worked with for last 19 years. My off pay roll date is six month shy of me getting full benefits. Just can’t win for lose. My cancer is undetectable but I get laid off, most likely a combination of age and what insurance paid out. I go for my pre-op and the next day I get my lay-off notice. The most bullshit part of all this is I have to train the replacements that are of course in India. It’s cheaper there. So why care about the American employees. We are less than furniture to the corporate wonks. The company ranked in billions in profits yet cries poverty and calls a surplus of employees. Bullshit. Moving the work to India is not a surplus it’s a ducking way for you to lower costs to make even more money that could not be spent in 10 lifetimes. Billions in profits and they need more. This country is fucked in more ways than one.
