Kaze similarly smiled back, though there was a warmer expression on his face, as if to try and tell her it was nothing quite so troublesome as she was making it sound or believed it to be. Truthfully, he hadn’t mistaken her for any outsider trespassing on their group who might be unwelcome or potentially mean them harm. Between her unique, recognizable clothing, and the absolutely unmistakable blue hair, it had been easy to take a glance and know that it was none other than Azura.
“Now now, you say that as though getting up here was difficult. Or that coming to see if you are alright is burdensome. Believe me, milady, whichever is the case, I can assure that neither of those things are true.” This was hardly the first time Kaze had seen Azura quietly sitting alone and looking contemplative at best, and he doubted it would be the last, nor was it the last time he had gone to ask the songstress about what thoughts might be plaguing her or otherwise causing her to give them deep thought. As always, it was very much something worth thinking about, and something he would attempt to do his best to respond to. He did have some rather strong feelings about this particular issue, however.
“If I may...” The ninja said this both as a prelude to the response he was about to formulate and to indicate he would be sitting down next to her, though if she had any objections to it, all she needed to do was voice them. “...true, you are a person. But so are the rest of us, and I think we all have worries such as those...some more than others.” He paused for a moment. He was very much reminded of himself in some ways with what worried her. “You’re not the only one concerned about the future, and where this most difficult of roads will lead us, and I think we’re all allowed to have those worries...both about where we have been and where we might go.”
It was true though. The neutral path had proven to be the most difficult of any that could have been taken thus far, yet he had no regrets, and he doubted that Azura had any either.
“Again, if you do not mind, I have a story of my own I would like to share with you. And no, this is not a poor attempt to change the subject.” Not that he was the sort of person to do that, especially when trying to assuage the fears of someone else, something she already knew well by now. “It has relevance to what we’re talking about now, or at least it does for myself, personally.”
