Lots of @lakverse concept doodles and such, though there’s still work to be done and unsure of when it’ll get done, though I want it to be written one day

more @lakverse shenanigans brought on by bro!
Music does lovely things, like inducing angst for @lakverse purposes
Granted, this isn’t going to happen until maybe 2/3 of the way through the entire freaking story but still...
Another update on LAK!
Ikitsumi here again! (Arch get your butt on here, you’re sitting right behind me geez)
The plotting is almost over because more character bios had to be done and...is it possible to love antagonists more than protagonists? QvQ THIS IS UNFAIR.
Okay, but for real: Gen 6 has fit so smoothly into events and there are a lot of changes that were made--notably, the “timeline” from before is null. Google Sheets is our best friend right now for keeping track of characters and teams, and thanks to Archie, with amazing functions for easier sorting and color-coded!
The writing hasn’t started yet because the bios needed to be done now to progress further with the plot, which seems to be nearing the end!
An update on LAK!
Hi, Ikitsumi here! There’s some major revamps coming for LAKverse because Archie and I have decided to implement Generation 6 within the series! This means that Mega Evolution, more Hoenn exploration, and Kalos will have some major roles and possibly some character origins will change as a result since they were restricted to the first five regions.
We’ll be discussing this when Archie and I get our week together when he comes to visit during August!
Riley’s own lifestyle and his family’s are quite centered around the Japanese arts. His Hakenryu fighting style is heavily based on aikido and traditional dances, and another Hakenryu practitioner he knows uses yosakoi as their basis for the ‘dance’ segment of the fighting stances. It’s also interesting how his aunt Kimiyo is a very large fan of yosakoi herself (although she focused more on Pokeathlon athletics). He ended up watching a lot of videos of performances she would send him from the Musical halls in Nimbasa City, finding it interesting. It’s too intense of a dance for him, but he admires the other Hakenryu practitioners who can incorporate such energetic dances into their fights.
LAKverse’s timeline explained in comparison to game timelines
Void as of August 2016.
RBY/FRLG and RSE
[The start of the main series, Lost Adventures and Isshu no Aoi Kaze: Advent.]
GSC/HGSS and DPPt - Three years after RBY/FRLG and RSE
[Essentially the end of LAKverse’s main run.]
B/W - Three years after GSC/HGSS and DPPt, six years after RBY/FRLG and RSE/ORAS
B2W2 and X/Y Two years after B/W, five years after GSC/HGSS and DPPt, eight years after RBY/FRLG and RSE
ORAS is tricky to place in because X/Y came out waaay after we were in the plotting stages (Unova was first introduced and that’s when LAK began), so fitting ORAS in is still something in the works.
Riley’s LAKverse (exodus) verse has him as 28 and that’s when Kalos is visited in LAKverse’s timeline.
But for all intents and purposes since ORAS is an alternate universe compared to RSE and LAKverse is primarily based off of RSE/RBY/GSC/HGSS/DPPt/BW, we can just say that he’s still 19/20 and he starts gaining Pokemon from Kalos. I updated a bit of his bio for that.
