Could you talk a little about your lamb design? What inspired you?
// Hi there! I'd love to.
So for a while now, I've been plagued with the idea of what consuming the heart of a god might do to a person. There must be some sacrifice one has to make for the godlike power gained by such an act.
So, I started thinking: what features of the Bishops could the Lamb take on?
Then I started workshopping what that might look like, and how I could achieve a feature from every bishop on the Lamb without making it too cluttered. I eventually settled on:
- Narinder's traitorous hands, gifted to the Lamb upon resurrection. They symbolize their oath to act upon his will.
- Leshy's antlers, a token of his pride.
- Heket's tongue, so sharp her throat was cut neat. And of course to symbolize her gluttony.
- Shamura's eyes and arms-- for visualizing strategy and carrying them out. The pen is mightier than the sword, but an open hand is the mightiest weapon of all.
- Also Kallamar's ears. Because I thought they'd look good.
The Lamb gains power every time they take a part of the Bishops. But they lose a part of themselves in return. It reaches a point where it isn't clear what they are, beyond divine. They stopped being what could safely be called a Lamb long ago.
Therefore, in their quest for power and revenge, they have taken the final step in extincting the Lambs.
One legacy for another.
Power, but at what cost?
Then, yk, the black clothes they have on under their cloak is meant to mimic the Bishops, and the hearts of the bishops are on the outside of the cloak.
Everything else is rule of cool. 👍//
//Depositing this here again because no one can stop me.//
