Don’t believe portrayal of Chinese food in Shang Simla world because Shang Simla is American Chinatown from Western perspective which the food portrayal in that World is Westernized Chinese, not authentic, wrong to us Chinese and general Asian Sims players. There is no such thing as Fortune Cookies in Chinese cuisine. Fortune cookies are American product 100%.
Chinese cuisine is the most oldest and diverse cuisine in the world, including noodles, which was first recorded invented in China from 4,000 years ago, has been existed until modern times.
There are so many dishes in China, because due to many regions and provinces, I cannot include all of them here. I released list of my favourite dishes, which are prominent to Southern China region. Yanwo tang (Swallow bird’s nest soup) is the most expensive one because it provides health benefits: high levels of calcium, iron, potassium, and magnesium.

I would like to know why in English it’s ramen, but in Mandarin it’s lamian? Is this gonna raise my blood pressure? Did the translation happen because a Chinese speaking tongue has issues with an English R sound?
I am cautiously optimistic about maybe there’s not a xenophobic/racist reason behind the name. But I also know how crappy English speakers have been both historically and currently.
Spareribs Lamien --- Lamien or Lamian is a type of Authentic Chinese noodles originated in China. this is just me being PETTY but i’ve seriously thought about this for like 8 months now and i cant let it go lmao so let me just rant real quick
WHY do ppl say ramen when talking about ramyun? or ramyun when they talk about lamian? like if ur talking about a korean ramyun dish why do you say ramen lmao and if you talk about chinese lamian why do u call it lamian? they may be based on the same original lamian but by the years they’ve developed their own ”cultural styles”, they’re not the same. same when people call chinese characters kanji?? like when it’s in a chinese context it’s not kanji lmao its hanzi. and when it’s a korean context it’s not hanzi or kanji, it’s hanja.
i mean i get it if your first language is chinese/japanese/korean or you ARE in china/japan/korea and you say it in ur/their language OBVIOUSLY, but when you’re like a white person in west who dont speak any of the languages i just find it weird… like if you’re confused you can always just say chinese/japnese/korean noodles or characters? its not like i would order a french dish in danmark and say it in german or smth (unless i am german perhaps).
I KNOW ITS PETTY ITS OBVIOUSLY NOT THAT BIG OF A DEAL AND MOST PPL PROBABLY DONT CARE but its confusing when im talking about chinese and then someone starts talking about japnese kanji?? or when we’re eating samyang ramyun and someone refers to it as japnese ramen like whaat BUT YEAH I UNDERSTAND IF ITS HARD OR YOURE LAZY OR WHATEVER….. im just easily bothered hahaha so uh yeah if u feel like thinking about it pls do
