Binignit. Each has its own story. And this one has been reminiscent of my childhood ever since I can remember. This isn't just part of Holy Week menu for me, but it also reminds me of tradition and religious obligations my parents wanted to instill. I'm sure other binignits also taste good. But this one I'm holding is special because daddy made this, and he made this with love. NEW BEAUTY BOX: LaRitzy LaMini February 2016

So there have been a lot more natural, vegan and cruelty-free beauty boxes that have popped over the last year or so, and I personally am pretty pleased with the selection available as well as the different levels of subscriptions for those of us who are simply try-curious.  

LaRitzy is a monthly vegan box that offers a Mini version for $15 a month, so naturally I signed up for it to see what all $15 could get me. I am myself in no way vegan (I had bacon and eggs for breakfast, with cheese, and it was delicious), but I still appreciate quality cruelty-free products with natural ingredients. I’m slightly peeved, however, that 2/3 of it was spoiled via email a week before it arrived. Note to beauty box companies: not everyone wants spoilers! I like being surprised, that's why I sign up for these boxes in the first place. 

Not sure I get the pig branding, either, but that’s just me.

Well, HELLO indeed! A full-size stick of my favorite natural deodorant, which I actually *just* ran out of, AND in my favorite scent? Uh, YES? Of course I'm biased, but already LaRitzy is a winner in my beauty box collection because of this fresh stick of Lovefresh.

And then, who doesn't love a good hair mask? Even though I have very short hair, I color it and want to keep it as healthy and happy as possible. Natural hair masks in particular are among my favorites, and this Hello Hair Hydrating Mask from Australia includes coconut oil, argan oil, and almond oil among its main ingredients. Even better: I can probably get at least two uses out of this packet. 

So the non-spoiled item in this box was this booklet of Mai Couture Highlighter paper papier, which I got another sample of back in December's Petit Vour box, so I wasn't super thrilled to see these, if I'm being honest. They still just seem so dumb.

However, this time around it's a full-size book of these papers and they're a highlighter shade, not a blush, so I feel like these are something that I might give a try on a weekend date night and then maybe see how they do during the day. Definitely not a total waste there, which pleases me greatly.

All right, LaRitzy Mini! This first box is pretty great, especially for a "mini" version. Two full size products and another deluxe sample is fairly excellent, and it doesn't hurt that one of those is one of my favorite products of all time, natural or otherwise. 

ROI: 163% 

Total value of this mini box was more than $50, and even with the iffy-ness of the blotter papers, that puts us well over 100% on the very first month. Not bad at all. I included about half the full cost of the highlighter sheets since I'm not totally sold on them, but I know at least want to try them out.  

Verdict: Pretty Great 

Another natural box that's on point and a great return on investment—I'm glad to have stumbled across LaRitzy and I'm really glad they offer the mini version. I love the simple selection of high-value, full size products and I hope it stays that way. If some of these other boxes fall by the wayside (as a good number of them are in danger of), I also might consider upgrading this one to the full size.
