Stop me if this is a weird headcanon but Hunk gives the other paladins pet names (platonically)
Like he's holding an injured Pidge and he whispers an "it's okay Katiebug", and when she gets out of the pod he hugs her with a "Hey there, Kit Kat".
Keith will come in the kitchen and Hunk will just greet him with a "Hey Violet, wanna try this new recipe?" Cause Keith has his weirdly purple eyes. Sometimes it's a "Fireball" or a "Spitfire".
He calls Allura a plethora of things including "My Queen", "Your Majesty", "Your Excellence", but the one that really sticks is "Juniberry". Really, any term that Hunk knows from Altea he'll call Allura.
Shiro gets some joke names too. "Captain", "Sergeant", anything 'leader-like' that Hunk can think of. On more sentimental days, Shiro becomes "Supernova", "Starlight", cause Hunk just associates everything cool about space with the man that's been traveling through it longer than he has.
Being his best friend, Lance has always been Hunk's "Sunshine". Some days he's a "Hit the bricks, Romeo" or just a "Pack it up, Casanova".
