what's your take on the latest landogate
I didn't even know there was one until I saw people shading it on the dash rofl
my take is the same as when lewis said last qatar when he retired after lap 1 and other drivers talked about heat exhaustion and literally fainting in the car in heatstroke temps and Lewis was like "I don't want the sport to become Too Soft we are #extreme athletes I don't want them to make it easier, bring back the Real Men of the 80s". like brother you were not in their car, you don't know the conditions they faced. It's classic sports macho chauvinism. these people are not rational actors when it comes to their mortality, max raced with a concussion in 2021, carlos wanted to race immediately after his appendix surgery, half the grid didn't want the halo, a literal life saving innovation, because they thought it was ugly. wrt norris I'm not particularly surprised, I thought it was a bitchy thing to say lol
ppl r mad at lando and that's fair, they're completely in their right to not like him/find him spoiled etc. ppl always want a non PR trained driver until they actually are 💀 ppl r assholes sometimes. sometimes you say something unkind when talking to a friend (and shout-out to fewtrell for calling him out), only they happened to be live and so it gets a million eyeballs on it and he should've checked himself. and now he'll get a spanking on socials about it, and the landogate outrage cycle continues
