Fun fact, Bruce paid 4,800 denarii for Jason in my gladiator au which would be about $240,000.
Lanista
Alexander Davtyan
Lanista (he/him) -- Highest ring leader of the infamous Plague Pits (a misleading name, as the pits exist even beyond the Contagion, but the alliteration sticks), Lanista is old and grizzled and cruel. There are many who would pay for the anonymous entertainment of seeing dragons fight to the death against Beastclan and against each other, and even more who would pay to see their enemies dragged in chains to certain doom and suffering. And Lanista, formerly a minor crime boss in the Undercroft, took to overseeing the pits and the lavish lifestyle that came with it easily. With the chain of command between him and the individual pit leaders, he too remains relatively anonymous. He is being hunted, and he is keeping tabs on her with a cold, calculated, arrogant interest.
Kosey (she/he) -- Kosey is the child of two former pit fighters, raised on tales of the horrors his mothers faced in the arena and filled with single-minded revenge. She weaseled her way into pit after pit, destroying as many participants as she can--dragons that run the slaughter and those that spectate, and sparing those forced into combat. He knows his actions will catch up with him, but he'll free as many as he can, love and empathy for his mothers burning in his chest, blending into an unquenchable rage. She does not yet know Lanista is her ultimate prey, but her hunt for the king of the pits will begin soon enough.

(mak)
Fighters have (relatively) unique names. What a pain in the ass getting all the names was, but at least I can use the list in later projects or whatever. Also, you can now commentate on a match in progress. By pressing a button, you can double the last increase in hype. However, this action is on cooldown. This means you have to pay attention and use it when the big hits pop up or you'll waste your time on +1's etc. This is one of the ways I want people to be able to interact with the game during fights, but have it be optional if you just want to chill or even walk away for water and stuff. By the way, the announcer/commentator is the red box at the moment, because I don't want to draw it, or almost anything, right now. To early. There are also fighter classes in the game, but I took them out in favor of a Biography system of determining stats I'm working on at the moment. I want the game to make the characters, not myself (outside of special event/unique characters).
(Also, I just realized I can use the video post for embedding videos...)
