It’s barely been 24 hours since Charlie was found beaten, stabbed, and nearly dead after The Ride. Meyer is out for blood as repayment for what was done to his friend and partner, but in a more subtle way. The list of men in that warehouse where Charlie was hung up and tortured has begun to form and grows with new whispers of information. He sends Benny to start picking them off one by one, working up from the men at bottom of the ranks.
Silently, Meyer begins his hunt, confident that he’ll eventually make everyone pay for Charlie’s blood being spilled in his waters.
Boardwalk Empire & Lansky (2021) mash up
Lansky (2021)
Directed by Eytan Rockaway
Cinematography by Peter Flinckenberg
When all is said and done, how do we measure ourselves?...There's only one measure in this world that truly matters. We measure ourselves through the eyes of the ones we love.
David Stone (Sam Worthington), from “Lansky” (2021)
Finally got to watch “Lansky” and really liked it!!! :D I mentioned this before but I was a huge fan of “Boardwalk Empire” and learning about Team New York as we called them always fascinated me and they made a great movie about Meyer’s life story. Harvey was a perfect choice to play him at the end of his life and the whole cast was great. The movie is split between Meyer telling his story to an author David who wants to write a book about him while the FBI are still after him, and flashbacks to show Meyer’s past. It was historically accurate as far as I can tell and more so than a lot of the other movies and shows I’ve seen about him and his friends. They did a great job too showing his friendships with Benny Siegel and Charlie “Lucky” Luciano, included Frank Costello a bit, and showed his life with his first wife Anne and their kids. Really loved the bond he formed with David in this too. It always amazed me how these Jewish and Italian childhood friends took over and completely changed the mafia and how much of a mathematical genius Meyer was too. Even had some funny moments and had to laugh they cast a really attractive guy to play Benny too. LOL Totally recommend it especially for fellow “Boardwalk” fans.
I would just like to say-
Yo, all you A3! and BSD fans, remember that play in A3! With the Autumn Troupe? Yk, this one:
Ishipthemsobad,sueme
Don't they remind you of a certain pair? The characters, Lansky and Luciano I mean 😏
* coughs in this is why I ship them*
Let me elaborate just a little bit
Lansky = Dazai
Luciano = Chuuya
Y'all see the resemblance? Plus, this was a play where they were in the MAFIA LOL
Dazai would so do what Lansky did. You can't tell me anything different
Also, Luciano's loyalty to * insert character Sakyo played* reminded me a lot of Chuuya's loyalty to Mori. Come on, guys, I can't be the only one who sees this...
