The idea of Louis working with Steve Aoki just makes me feel warm. Steve knows him, personally. Knows Harry. They still speak so highly of each other. Steve spent months with Louis, saw how he interacted with people, saw how people treated Louis.

The idea that Steve could hypothetically be a person that Louis could seek refuge in, on a personal and now a professional level, is amazing. I can imagine that, if they are working together, the DM team would be working to unravel babygate, to flip Lou’s image, and to even assist with Harry moving forward. Potentially Harry may see the benefits of a smaller, more dedicated label, and it may influence the way he works with Columbia.

I’m just really hoping this all comes true. Given the way babygate has been going since Lou left s*** there’s 100% moves being made behind the scenes. I think people are very confused with the Harry stunt currently happening, even though this was to be expected (I’m personally not shocked by it, I’m just confused by the timing. The Olivia thing is either linked to Louis, because something is about to go down and Harry is being used as a distraction, or this is more about Olivia and Jason and Harry just got roped into it earlier than planned)

To me it honestly doesn’t make sense for the label to be super involved with the BG situation, especially at a small label. I think what they are doing is giving Louis the opportunity and space to take care of business. The S*mon/S*co/The S*n situation was an unusual beast. Steve doesn’t have a tabloid in his pocket, and Dim Mak exists to function as a record label (not a trap for reality tv stars).

I think the most exciting thing about Louis and Steve (they need a bro ship name like lilo... Laoki? Leve (like leave lmao).... Stouis? No thats not cute... tomki? AoSon? SteLo? Laoki sounds best doesnt it, hmmmm) is that they are both really smart, committed, hard workers. They’re artists, businessmen, performers... like the two of them just really strike me as guys who see eye-to-eye in a lot of super important ways for what they do. I think they have the same values and interests. That duo could really be dynamite.
