I will definitely try to come more often - and I might actually be able to do it since my bf will have to be there more often thanks to the project he's working on as well. xD Man but I wish our initial plans would've worked! If only my health didn't cause so much havoc to make me cancel so many things. I literally thought I'd die this year, lol. But we'll make it somehow! WE WILL!!

I just want to send you guys a message to say thank you for all the work you do. You guys always help me our with reposters and i dont ever know how to repay you. Thank you especially to amy (i work with her the most) who is practically living in the instagram tags on the lookout for any of my reposted/traced art. You never ask for anything back but youre so great and im so glad for you tbh <3

I never really expected anything in return, I just liked helping artists take a load off when it comes to reporting their reposts, cause it does get tiring and it is a bothersome thing to do, and i know artists would rather be drawing than seeing their defiled/edited/reposted artwork multiple times in a day.

It can be so discouraging seeing that? It was just so satisfying seeing how happy an artist would feel knowing someone was helping them. 

But its just so shitty that some people expect you to help everyone? Why should we help someone who steals themselves? This blog is to prevent art theft, not help art thieves

Entitled Reposters

It’s been so long since I made a post about a reposter or reposters in general but yeah, this post is so long overdue. Why are reposters so entitled? Really don’t know, but some of them are, tbh most of them are.

Gotta love it when the first thing you see when you go on a reposters account is “Deleted at...” wonder why you were deleted.

They were first reported for this piece done by lapoin. Original Artwork here. Now on lapoin’s pages she specifically mentions everywhere to not upload her artwork without her permission. 

Why do they never actually read the report they get given. It literally tells you why you’ve been reported but whatever.

See how someone says “She don’t want her art reposted thats why I guess” and they responded with. “Yeah but this is annoying” Like, are you seriously so ignorant that you’re being such a dick that you’re disrespecting someones’ wishes on how they want THEIR art to be distributed. They don’t want people reposting it. So DON’T REPOST IT. It’s so simple? Such a simple concept, yet no one does it?

For real. There’s NO difference in getting PERMISSION? Like, actual CONSENT to posting someones’ work. OK. Sure. Whatever you say.

Next up is one by the artist shadoouge. Original Artwork here. Now I’m unsure if I’m getting this in the right order but it really doesn’t matter. Now Shadoo’s pages also include disclaimers telling people to not repost her artwork without permission. She even has terms of use before you can VIEW her artwork on her tumblr.

This is taken off Shadoo’s terms of use page. She mentions Instagram. Aka, don’t post her goddamn art on there without her permission.

They still don’t see the difference between getting permission and crediting. 

Yes artists want people to see their art...FROM THEIR OWN PAGES. Unless an artist doesn’t mind their work being reposted alongside credit, you should stop thinking you’re doing artists a favor.

If you know Nanako, you know she reaaaaaaaaally hates her art being reposted, doesn’t allow it AT ALL. Even the artwork that got reported has her DO NOT REPOST watermark.

People post Nanako’s art all the time commenting how they rebel against her do not repost watermark, and it is the most disgusting thing ever. 

And then due to them being reported for copyright so many times, they got disabled. But of course they continue to repost. Which is honestly so not surprising. 

Omfg not this shit again, still reposting lapoin’s work. Original Artwork here. I also asked lapoin and she has told me that she never blocked this person. So...lol.

And here we have some entitled little shits who think the internet is some source of free artwork. I doubt any reposter will read up on this, but honestly, anyone who thinks art is FREE TO USE, just because its been posted on the internet. Read this. Artists are allowed to report you, that is why the option is there for them, to report people who are infringing upon their copyright. Wow who would’ve thought?

Also, if you clearly don’t like lapoin, why are you reposting her artwork? 

Here’s the best one, the most entitled comments I’ve seen yet.

Yessss she has ten accounts. She doesn't log out and gets pass the block mechanism at all. Mhmm totes ten account

First off, lol at you thinking you have to report via the app.

“I feel so bad for you” but not the artist. LOL okay, lets all feel sorry for the poor reposter. Let me just get out my violin and play a sad song for you.

“THINGS WILL GET REPOSTED ANYWHERE” Yes that’s true, doesn’t mean it’s the right thing to do, you can’t complain you got reported when you’re doing something that is infringing on someone’s copyright. 

“It’s not a crime” oh hun.

“So why tf is she doing this to us even if we give credit?” lol, LOOOl, you make her sound like she’s doing something bad, when all she is doing is removing her art off pages who post her art. Why are artists always the bad guys and they’re the ones providing the fandom with free art? 

Also to that person who mentions that she drew one of lapoin’s art. So on her deviantart. She clearly states.

“Do not COPY” aka, don’t copy her art. If you’re going to reference someones’ art/pose or you know, literally just copy their art like this person did...don’t post it, it’s not yours. If you don’t have permission, don’t share it. Some artists allow it, some do not. It’s reaaaaally disrespectful to do this, especially when you SHARE it and claim it as your own.

Did you think of the concept? Did you think of the pose? Did you think of the lighting? Did you think of how the clothes are meant to look? Did you think of anything? No? Not yours.

Plus the last two remaining comments on that post. Fave tbh. Report her. But for what? Posting her own content? Yes, Instagram is SO going to delete her posts when she owns everything she posts. Yeap. Go on, report her. Instagram will ban you for filing false reports lol.

Since when do we have to ASK for permission? Since, forever? Since it’s the decent thing to do? Since it’s...common sense not to be an asshole? But no one ever does it cause they think the internet is some free place where you can take whatever the fuck you want without consequences.

But you know, whatever.
