The In-Depth Look at Julie-Su Part 11: Sonic the Hedgehog Issues 109, 114, 115 & 118

Previously we ended on the introduction of Knuckles & Julie-Su's future AU daughter Lara-Su. It may sound a interesting twist to the ongoing story but in reality it's not. Unlike Silver in Sonic 2006 Lara-Su has practically no impact on the story. You could take her out and the story would still work as established.

Anyway she goes to a meeting that consists of the Dark Legion along with Knuckles and a council of utterly forgettable regular echidnas. There she witnesses what appears to be Knuckles getting shot.

Afterwards Lara-Su leaves the scene before Knuckles reveals that he was playing possum. A heartbroken Lara-Su assumes he's dead and pops back into the AU future. There we see Julie-Su and get this out of left turn reveal.

Even though this seems like a neat setup to continue on with this is the last we see of it. We don't get to see tough future soldier Julie-Su fight a evil despot version of Knuckles with her daughter. Personally I would have loved if the story continued on with this plotline over the meandering continuation of the story that does happen. It's also the last we see of Lara-Su in the Green Knuckles arc. She does not show up or is mentioned again.

Back to the canon timeline the we see Julie-Su as she is introduced to a free apartment that Knuckles set up for her and her parents.

It's nice that Knuckles carried in her suitcases for her.

We also finally get to see the Chaotix again who noticed Dimitri being taken away, his robotic body is failing him. Julie-Su fights with Vector and delivers this ominous warning about what would happen should Dimitri die.

In issue #115 not much happens but we do get this nice shipping moment.

In issue #118 Green Knuckles faces off against Mammoth Mogul a seemingly immortal villain that has appeared on and off throughout various Sonic & Knuckles issues over the years.

During their battle Knuckles has I don't know too much green energy or something and dies after unleashing it in a massive blast.

Next up the conclusion of the Green Knuckles Arc.
