Rosa ‘Madame de Sancy de Parabere’ bred by Boursault in 1845, another rare Old Garden Rose that I photographed at Mottisfont Abbey Gardens. To me the beautiful, light pink, large double, flat open blooms of it perfectly resemble old fashioned powder puffs. In Mottisfont the rose had become a gigantic climber, of a size that there was no way to fit it into a little IG square, so I chose to at least post a close up. I am thinking of all of you suffering from the icy cold right now and hope that this beauty will bring you some joy and remind you that spring will come eventually.
