Larries hate Louis and working class people so much, it’s incredible.

Imagine being this outraged because you’re a fan of a man who eats McDonalds and doesn’t attend fancy glamorous Hollywood parties that he finds hollow.

Ugh, so I don’t have time to go into this but this annoys me so here goes.

The larries are putting the remainder of their cracked, sloppy eggs into their “NT vs OT” rehash of “US vs UK team” basket and hoping that… I dunno… Freddie and Eleanor get erased when Louis starts doing US promo because Americans don’t like hetero love stories or babies…. or… something.

They’ve latched onto this idea that because Louis has said his music is going to largely be about his girlfriend, that this will put people off, as opposed to it being a generic love song that can be about whoever you want it to be about. That hasn’t been my experience when I grew up listening to Celine Dion knowing she dedicated the Color of my Love to her husband Rene, or when I knew that Alanis Morissette wrote So Pure about her then boyfriend and HAD HIM DANCE WITH HER IN HER VIDEO. Everybody knew when Usher was singing about Chilli from TLC. Methinks they… don’t understand how the world works? At all? As usual.

But I also want to get at this thing about Freddie. It’s as though you can tell no larries actually watched or read what Louis said about having Freddie because they’re all hanging on this talking point of Freddie being unplanned, like Louis told the tabloid version of his story. For a refresher, this is what Louis has said about being ready for Freddie:

No, but who does? In reality what bloke, really, if you say to them “are you ready?” They might lie and say they are – they’re not. And I think the only way you’re ready is through experience, and you realize: actually it is intimidating, but it’s also the most rewarding thing in the world.

This is what the larries find so unsettling. That Louis was unprepared for a life event he describes as “a blessing” and “the most rewarding thing in the world.” Like that’s never happened to ANYONE. Like Louis should never talk about Freddie because of the circumstances of his conception, which btw THE PUBLIC DOESN’T KNOW! The story is that Briana is an ex girlfriend! Joke’s on you!

They’re so far up their own asses they can’t even understand how the world outside the larrie bubble might see Louis, or the adversity he’s overcome to be where he is because they decided the only adversity he’s faced is to have to fake his entire life for the amusement of shadowy figures. They can’t even pretend at it.

No, I don’t reckon Louis is going to talk about being a chav in the US but he might define what chav means to him! Maybe it won’t come up at all. What the fuck would it matter if it did? And even if he doesn’t touch on it at all, he’s still going to talk about how personal the album is to him, he’s still going to talk about how the events of his life in the past two years shaped his creative process. Like, Americans know he has a son, larries.

One last thing. It’s really aggravating to me that Larries always bring up Louis’ philanthropy ONLY WHEN conversations turn to his relationships and family. When they’re fantasizing about his album being about harry, this gender neutral album full of gay anthems, they’re not thinking that Louis is going to go on all these talk shows and talk about Believe in Magic (it would be great if he did, don’t get me wrong). But that’s not when they care about him being known for his charitable works. They don’t care about Louis being known for his charitable works when they cheerlead articles written by their fellow larries about him giving his girlfriend the finger on a street where gay bars are. They don’t care about Louis’s charitable works when they have their larries on the inside write about how much Louis gushed about Harry in the same article where he stated conspiracy theorists had caused them to become cautious in their interactions with one another.

But hooooo boyyyyyyy if he says he loves his girlfriend or finds fatherhood rewarding, it’s suddenly like, wow, excuse me, he gave $20M to charity??? Could you not??? focus on his ugly unplanned son’s birth?????

It's impossible to truly understand a Larrie, but why do you suppose they bang on about Louis's "chav" image, claiming it's so fake, but never about how Harry's "posh" image is fake? Is it simple classism? Why would someone WANT to be a "chav" when their (alleged) boyfriend is wearing bespoke suits and has a wardrobe stylist traveling everywhere with them?

I think for them Harry embodies some weird aspirational fantasy of the wealthy, cultured gay man, so they’re fine with him being ‘posh’. Louis’ everyman image just doesn’t sync with their classist fantasy of Harry & Louis the cultured gay couple. If Louis mostly likes eating fast food and takeout, there is less opportunity for him to feed Harry spaghetti in small, private restaurants with discreet, knowing staff and clientele, right?

Now they are hating on James bc he's using louis for promo and what he said was meant to make louis look middle/lower class and to ruin his reputation. Why are they so fixed on that? Imo larries are making it way more classist than it actually is. People don't wear fancy clothes all the time and I don't think "They" went to louis' house and forced him into adidas clothes

the sexism is obvious, but there's also soooo much classism with the larries. pregnancy outside of marriage is "trashy," briana is worthless because she dropped out of school and is/was a stylist, oli is worthless because he works as a pa and doesn't "get an education" and a "real job" like stan, louis is being cruelly suppressed when he eats fast-food and wears normal clothes and hangs with his non-famous friends. someone's value isn't dependent on their job or income.

So, so true.
