why is it suddenly so confusing for people to comprehend that kinktober is for kinky smut? ppl generally want snapshots of the fun parts not the leading up and the cool down after? if i wanted to see in detail the week of stretching and talking and planning and time management it took to set up a scene, and then the scene (milquetoast as per the kink authorities directive) and then the hydration and the snacks and the clean up and the post-scene debrief.......id just scene irl instead of waiting for kinktober for my fav authors to make my fav fictional characters fuck? dont break the immersion of free ao3 tagged dddne/ content warninged smut to enforce education in the art of morally pure sex

did these surplus aesthetic frutiger aero mix maker gurus forget the term ambient existed? or muzak (non-intrusive background music meant to soothe)? making ambient music in mid 2000's is no different than making it in the 80's so it doesn't need its own cool social media exclusive term. there's nothing groundbreaking about lumping pseudo similar things together slapped with a new name just to get people to pay attention to your youtube page / blog more. also so many people bashed the Wii for longest time til just recently after this net fascination with mid 2000's which if you ask me was a very dull time period for me that I never look back on. weirdly though looking up the FA tag on here has more 'Y2K' vibes than the actual Y2K tag people pass around here which is so chaotic bad that I never even look it up anymore (even after all those video essays it has never helped alleviate that problem 😔). guess I have nothing else to say on this subject other than I wish I wasn't so stuck on the internet where everyone thinks they invented the god damn wheel or can base their entire lifestyle on an aesthetics wiki page. as long as my claim to fame is being the NoPlay person or the Toonami-pilled page I don't give af what anyone thinks about me or my sites 👍

So the last time I complained about this season’s characterization of Din I was told to shut up because “wannabe writers are delusional and have a very unfulfilling life and like to criticize the canon work based on their fan phantasies” (I have “fanwriter” in my instagram bio, didn’t know it would make me a target).

Now I’m thinking really hard about how could I criticize Din’s characterization after seeing this episode without giving the impression of being conceited and thinking I could write a better development or plot or whatever... but you know what?

I COULD write a better plot and development or whatever AND I ALREADY DID and I swear I’m gonna pick up that kriffing half-written story and DO IT AGAIN after this sorry excuse for a third season ends.

Jfc I’m not even that good a writer but at least I can keep track of the characters and not blatantly ignore what I previously wrote AND IT’S NOT EVEN MY JOB NO ONE’S PAYING ME I DO IT FOR FUN.

I’ve read 100+ fics that had better plot, better character development and overall made more sense than this season.

Heat of the moment came on. And I thought about this stupid TV show and how much fun it can be, and how much it's given me something else to focus on and then thought about it ending.

And I started to fucking cry.

It's been a tough week with all the eye stuff, but wtf!

Now I'm snivelling in the stinky little disabled toilet, tryna pull my shit together, before I can go back to the table, because blind or not he can tell when I'm upset and I don't want him to worry.

In-depth thoughts (My literal rant before I posted Still...)

I thought I lost this from my drafts before posting my closing rant post. Was planning to have this stay posted in private but then decided otherwise. This is (really) the last of my rant from the SDCC incident. After this, I’ll get myself drown in more SC and stalking Katie McGrath (Online, of course). This is only my own opinion. I don’t expect everyone to agree with me. But if so, then I’ll be glad someone shares my thoughts on this. 

Here we go...

Got a lot of thinking ever since what happened last weekend at SDCC. I had previously posted something regarding that incident and while talking with some friends, I’ve had some realizations. First, it was really disappointing how the cast approached the shipping. It was insensitive and disrespectful to the fans who supported and stayed with the show (despite the crappy writing for S2) to blatantly make fun and unabashed shutting off of what has possibly made their show survive for the 2nd season enough for them to be renewed for the 3rd season. The entire season lacked the essence of what Supergirl’s journey is about because the main character was overshadowed by a side character who’s not that relevant to what is supposedly the target of the season, Kara’s character growth as a reporter and as Supergirl. Besides the interest in Sanvers, they can’t admit the fact that the chemistry between Kara and Lena has been a huge part of attraction in the show even if they weren’t the canon couple. We don’t even deny the fact that the ship existed because of the unexpected chemistry in Melissa and Katie’s portrayal of Kara and Lena. And it’s really sad that they just wanted to make fun of it by jokingly dismissing it, or probably because they were unconsciously pressured to because the other ship didn’t sell out to the public (even if they were a couple in real life). Either way, they ended up offending the very people who supported the show because of the ship. It’s rather disappointing that the main star of the show didn’t step up to do damage control as soon as they realized they were getting out of hand when she’s supposedly on the neutral grounds because she’s the one portraying the character. And it took another person who actually knows the implications of the shipping to do the damage control in their behalf. The damage has been done to the show. They can’t expect most fans to still stay on the show after what they did. Even if they don’t admit it, the show was already going downhill when they lost focus on Supergirl because of Mon-el. Sanvers and Supercorp held them up. And now they’re trying to dismiss both. If they still want their viewers, they should do something about the damage they did if they want to survive.

Hey guys, listen. Pedophilia and Incest are two things I want absolutely, 100%, positively, absolutely, nothing to do with.

If you’re into incest ships for one reason or another, please refrain from telling me. I don’t want to know. It’s your position, and I can totally respect that it’s what you like. Peeps, I am so totally against giving people crap for their ships, it’s just plain rude! Are you friggin serious? Don’t go out of your way just to make someone feel bad because of a ship they like, they’re not hurting you whatsoever. Quite frankly, it’s none of your business either, they have just as much a right to ship as you do.

Pedophilia is totally different in nature. But again, I want nothing to do with it, I don’t wanna know, keep that stuff to yourself. Shipping a minor with any character over 18 is just not right.

That’s besides the point. The point is, let people enjoy their ships, respect their ships, and you’ll get some respect back. Because News Flash, some of your ships are unnaceptable in others’ eyes too.

That tweet rant

Y’know that tweet? The one that Soriel haters wave over us as if it is the end all, be all. That we should stop shipping Soriel because of this one tweet:

“Sans wouldn't be in a relationship” they say, "his creator said so.” And my favorite, “it can’t be canon.” I never said it was, and I can’t say Soriel is canon; but, it is plausible.

I’ve done some research, and even scoured Toby Fox’s twitter. Then I sat on my findings because the answer seemed so obvious. Plus, I’m feeling done with doing these... But, I saw the argument made again, and now I’ll respond. It’s under the cut. I’ll try to keep it short compared to my other rants.

Huh? What’s that? Tweets aren't canon? Guess that means Sans could be in a relationship. In fact, the tweet haters like to use isn't even there anymore. I had to do a Google search to find it. ... well that was anticlimactic.

Bottom line folks, Soriel is a ship between two consenting, unrelated adults. Even if tweets were canon, I’d still ship it and write my fanfic. Why? Because, it makes me happy shipping this healthy relationship. And there is nothing you could do or say that would make me stop.

This is the last “rant” I am going to do; unless someone specifically asks me and I feel the motivation to do it. I wanted to cover the things I see Soriel haters repeat over, and over again that irk me; as if they were reason I should stop shipping my OTP.
