I love my baby so much. I don’t know what I was so afraid of. He is just perfect in every way imaginable.

We do have latch issues though. I have been harassing my lactation consultant for tips and tricks but I think the problem is that my boobs are rounded and he has such a tiny little mouth. I have tried sandwiching my nipple and directing it towards his nose so he opens his mouth wider to include the areola. He’s just not having it. I have been pumping since last night because I was just too sore to continue and that, at least, has been successful. Next I will try catching him half asleep so I can pose him more easily, as suggested. If that doesn’t work I’ll try a nipple guard. It’s frustrating but worth it.
