I’m in high school and I recently missed a week due to illness. I have a ton of homework and I’m almost finished with it all but I have one teacher who doesn’t take late work and only gives one class period after sickness to turn it in, which has already passed for me. I haven’t been focusing on her work because I found other work to be more important but now I don’t know what to do because she won’t take it and I have an F. It’s making my anxiety even worse than it has been. Any advice?
Are you able to go to this teacher, apologise for not handing the work in on time, and ask her for advice on what you can do to improve your grade? Show her that you want to make an effort (instead of just looking like you didn’t care about the work), and she may be able to help you. If she isn’t helpful, is there another, friendlier, teacher who you could talk to about this situation, who might be able to generally advise you on how to improve your grades?
