Celle-ci c’est ma photo préférée. J’aime bien mon maquillage, mes cheveux longs, mais surtout mon regard. Elle date du 2021.
In honor of #hispanicheritagemonth I wanted to share my thoughts on I am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter by @erikalsanchez
I read this book a couple years ago and I loved it so much and I don’t have my copy right now because I’m letting my friend read it. Even though Im not Mexican, I resonated so much with the Hispanic/Latin culture in this book. It touched on grief, family dynamics and some mystery, all while incorporating Latin culture and how our culture can change the way we deal with those issues!
5/5⭐️
Unfriendly reminder to STOP using "Latinx" because we don't fucking call ourselves that way,it was invented by people in the U.S
You can use "Latino/a"or if you wanna be more inclusive some countries and people use "Latine"
So yeah use those instead of the one made by other people who want to STILL oppress us
My woman making history 💖
This was such a huge moment for all Brazilians. For the very first time in HISTORY someone from our country got this award.
This right here is a woman that came from nothing, born and raised in the favelas, and yet look at where she is now. Despite all the hate thrown her way, despite all the people telling her she wouldn't get there, she created history.
So, if anyone ever says you won't get there, tell them to go fuck themselves and show them it's possible.
Just finished this book! It is absolutely wonderful! If you are looking for a book with a good amount of Latin American representation, transgender representation, great characters, and Santa Muerte shown in a positive manner, this is your book!
