finally got her colored! somewhat lol..I want to add more details (like metal/coiled jewelry and stone details to match their dragon) but i’ll just keep it simple for now (for my sake lol)

got some extra doodles and notes/explanations under the cut <3

• She’s a certified yapper (when prompted) . I wanted to make their motif snakes so she’s obv a big fan of em and talks like crazy when someone asks about a species

•Not used to people being nice to her / just emotional LMAO. She tears up real easily ; it used to make those around her worry but atp they’re over it LOL

•also uses deathsong amber very often, so she has some for jewelry and debris of it in her hair lol

•Super quiet-she accidentally sneaks up on the gang and freaks them out everytime they don’t see her 😭 Doesn’t speak much either, so it really doesn’t help🥀

•Just a quick doodle of her when she first got to berk (around 7 years old). She came on a trader boat w her parent but ended up getting lost resulting in her boat leaving and not coming back for her.

•Was so shy, she wouldn’t talk . Ended up being sent to gothi since people thought she was mute. Ròth pretty much ended up being raised by Gothi so after she grew up, she still frequents her hut a lot :)

•Lastly, some stuff on her snake and dragon <3 I’m still not completely sure on Lauf’s color pallet considering how colorful deathsongs are but yea

•Lauf has damaged fins (???) from her time in captivity. So her singing and listening (can’t remember the proper term ugh) isn’t very good and the singing is a lot more scratchy than the usual siren deathsongs do (she isn’t able to lure dragons or other prey when she sings).

•Rò created some of her own calls/tunes to help communicate w Lauf. They only really work when she’s on Lauf and next to her, the rest of the time Rò just uses gestures and hand signs if she’s farther away from Lauf.

•Lauf gets extremely jealous of JJ (the white snake Rò has in her tunic) :)c

•Rò has had JJ since her first years on Berk and was too scared of dragons due to some trauma (scar on her eyebrow) to actually get one once peace happened on Berk. So she was pretty okay with just having her little snake (until one thing led to another and ended up meeting and taming Lauf lol)

Looks like he is striking a pose, instead of being tortured. The weird thing about this church is, they have a crucifix painted on the wall behind the altar, but then they have a shrine with a small crucifix in front of it, obstructing the painting. Not very elegant.

This church creeped me out.

Let me set the scene: It is a hot, bright Sunday. I'm thinking I can use this church to cool down, chill for a bit and take pictures. However, the main entrance is locked. The second and third side doors I try are locked, too. This is already feeling weird. Finally, the wheelchair-accessible door is unlocked, and it opens automatically as I approach it. I walk through the door. It automatically closes behind me. I feel like I am in a horror video game.

Inside, it is pretty dark, because the stained glass windows are small and don't let in too much light. My eyes are not used to it, yet. To both sides of the church, there are confession booths I can't see into, so they are a perfect hiding place for hypothetical creatures.

In the back, there are life-sized statues of Jesus and Mary, which are somewhat uncanny in the half-dark and I half-expect them to come alive and attack me.

Nonetheless, I start taking pictures and realize the camera picks up way more light than my eyes do. First picture in this post: How the camera picked it up. Second picture: How it looked to me.

As I am taking pictures, the lights around the crucifix behind the altar suddenly go out. I can't stress enough how much I don't want stuff to move / change on its own when I am in an already creepy church.

Since I am a modern human who knows about electricity and programmed lights, I figure there must be a sensor to trigger the lights, which then turn off again after a set amount of time. I find the sensor. It is by the door. I activate it again, finish taking my pictures, and leave the church.

Thankfully, the automatic door opens as I approach it.
