i was just watching that video of one of the first times marling played I Was An Eagle and remembered the kind of jazzy flavor it had pre-album as she was kinda moving into that tone altogether. Then the work and her technique grew and changed into something really different (obv production has a hand but vocal-specifically) and that worked out really well. idk what this post is besides wondering how the new stuff will do the same for lp5?
