Btw, Gumbo and Arkosa’s campaign is DMed by @mmoxie, and she named it Another Dragon. Mentioning that because I want to draw more stuff from it so I’m gonna start tagging stuff with Another Dragon in case I get around to that.

I took my cat to the vet today to get his yearly shots and they diagnosed him with silly when he head butted the vet tech so hard in the face he bent her glasses

i’m sorry but it sounds like your vet misdiagnosed him.  he clearly has a case of butthead.

What a good boy tho!  It’s always nice when cats actually like their vets (and vet techs).

So how does Kurt feel about humans? Like does he just follow what knife did with his life and be like “well if my papa did it, it must be the right thing to do” or does he not particularly like humans but follow the concept of “genocide is bad and I don’t like it” or is he more of “humans are sexey and I like them a lot”

It might come as a surprise, but Fork isn’t particularly fond of humans? He doesn’t voice this feeling that often or really to.. anyone. (except perhaps, to Spot who would almost too excitedly encourage these feelings, so Fork would also hold back there.) Fork is surrounded with and works with a lot of humans and they all tend to treat him differently because of his species. For someone like Simon, that’s fun (or at least it was before he exploded) because simon likes being a scary hekaton monster and humans are toys to him.. but Fork just feels unappreciated by humans a lot of the times!!!!!! and he doesn’t like being seen as “scary” or dangerous. Humans can still be fun though and he enjoys more when he interacts stealth-ing as a human in the regular human society w/ civilians that dont know about worms/heks/ect. but the problem there is that, it feels very much like a game and he can’t really be part of that world for too long. (And also to be frank they really dont have the stamina to keep up with a hekaton, so dating a regular human that isnt a cyborg or something is basically out of the question.) They can be pretty easy to please and excite though which is nice for the shallow attention.Fork protects humans because its the right thing to do even if he doesn’t really like them that much. He respects humans to a degree, probably the thing he loves the most is obviously that they make his favorite cartoons, but i think he knows Hekatons are more capable than anyone gives them credit for, especially because he’s seen Knife work tirelessly for decades and accomplish such incredible things without much recognition. To fork, he feels like not many people genuinely care about Knife vrs respect his strength and position out of fear. I think for Fork he can see how much Knife is subservient to human society, despite how much he seems to appear to do what he wants-- he really does judge himself on whats normal based on a human standard, rather than considering hekaton experiences to be just as default and normal as a human one. In prison, it is very strongly Anti-human and is a very extremist environment. I think that Fork is aware it tends to radicalize nonhumans into hating Humans. Its a complicated situation politically and Fork almost feels like on a lone island between having a lot of privileges in Thumb that normal hekatons wouldnt have in society, vrs being all too aware that any even SLIGHT mis-step can lead him back behind bars. (or for literally no reason at all!! ahhhhaha..)Fork likes worms much more bc he finds their culture interesting, doesnt know much about them and wants to learn, and feels they have a lot more common ground between him than he would have with a human. He also just thinks they’re hot. Fork has probably spent more time with humans than he has with his own species, or worms. I dont think he feels good kind of harboring negative feelings towards them but its also pretty well deserved. Humans are honestly pretty nasty, judgmental creatures. Anyway its pretty cool that fork actually has a lot more complicated feelings than one would expect, and I think he is trying to search for answers and a sense of purpose that can help him decide what to do. But right now, he kind of feels like a lot of his options are tied and there’s still a lot he doesnt *know* about-- so teaming up with Dylan is very appealing to him in a lot of ways as he wants to uncover and understand the truth about the world he’s in and how to make it better for everyone in it. It might seem odd that he still is supportive of Thumb despite seeing the much darker sides of it, but I think he still believes they are in the best position for positive change - he just needs to find a way to influence it to happen. A lot of the things Heel has done made him feel sick enough to not want to side with them as well. (I think he also very much trusts Knife and wants to understand why Knife supported Thumb, he generally sees Knife as experienced enough to make the right choices with these things.)

Hey, so how you feel about jelly fish? I'm a bio major and there is no animal on earth that freaks me out besides jellyfish. Like, they have eyes???? WHY DO THEY NEED EYES!? They can't even swim good and they live in the goddamn ocean! They just kinda drift around like a painful living shopping bag made of snot

Most don’t have any! The ones that do have eyes actually do swim very well and can navigate as they please!

I know I post this every time jellyfish come up but look at the abyssal Stygiomedusa gigantea:

It’s thirty feet long!!!!!!

It doesn’t have eyes and it doesn’t have stingers either but its huge billowing cloaklike arms are sticky like flypaper and they already start digesting fish that get stuck to them!

He’s a big fan of belly touch. You can rub your face on him, but you will come away with lke 6 zillion invisible fine hairs all over your face and you wll never be able to remove them.
