Coronet magazine - October 1957.
We've had so little precipitation the last four weeks that I haven't had to mow the lawn in almost a month. However, we've had quite a bit of rain the last few days, so between the rain that we've received and the mere fact of the passage of time, I think I have to mow the lawn tomorrow before we get a nasty message from the HOA (BTW, fuck all HOAs!). We're forecast to have a high temperature of 99 F tomorrow, and with how fucking muggy it's been with all the humidity, the heat index will probably be something like 108 F. So, I'm going to have to get my tired middle-aged lady ass out of bed early on a Sunday morning to get the lawn done before the heat sets in. FML.

A bitch hasn't mowed the grass in over a month, and the lawn looks it. So, this is how I'm spending my Sunday morning.
Southeast Yard Cleanup
Two hours later and a blister between my thumb and pointer but it’s done. The southeast yard looks pretty darned good, I think! All it needs is some warm days, lime and fertilizer. No leaves, no limbs, no weed trash! It looks so better! The bare spot along the house wall is full of Hosta’s already budding out of the ground. The big flat rock at the bottom step of the back door has been hauled…
