Return to love - October Series

The theme for this months writing is all about returning to love. Returning home to your sacred heart, to your inner safety, to becoming the best friend, parent, lover, that you’ve always longed for. You’re pouring into you this month. No more seeking and searching outside of yourself. All that manifesting the life you desire has left you starving, deep in the pit of your stomach. Leading you to feelings of desperation, wondering if you can really have (and are even worthy of) the life you dream of because it feels soooo out of reach. From this place of lack you’ve been living off the scraps of love being fed to you by people and situations in this world, forgetting there are actual fucking FEASTS available for you. When you return to love, you nourish yourself from the inside out. No one can take away, that inner fulfilment. You show up differently in the world. You slowly start to trust yourself more, and rely on yourself, your inner voice supports you, and you are your very own cheerleader. Each day you pour into yourself, sometimes more than other days, but most importantly this month you are the priority. Affirmations aren’t about what you can get in this world, you start connecting with the emotion of already having your desires from within. You are returning to love, you coming home to your heart. You are nourished, you are loved, welcome home sweetie.

Confirmation bias is proof that our brains are biologically wired to confirm that which we are seeking 🧠

Confirmation bias is defined as “the tendency to process information by looking for, or interpreting, information that is consistent with one's existing beliefs.”

One example of this would include the following: suppose you had just started a new job and you’re convinced one of your coworkers dislikes you, despite them never saying nor doing anything that would cause you to believe this, yet because you are convinced of your coworker’s disliking of you, your brain is going to actively seek out even the most trivial clues that may confirm this belief (eg. them not inviting you to their solo lunch, or perhaps they have yet to introduce themselves solely out of shyness).

Have you ever had a headache (or pain of any sort) and noticed that the more attention you paid it, the worse it hurt? Furthermore, do you recall that once you finally stopped thinking about it, the pain completely dissipated? This is yet another example of the power of our thoughts / attention / focus (aka manifestation) — the more attention you pay to something, the more you’re going to notice it in your 3D reality (this goes for both good and bad, which is why it’s so important to regularly observe your thoughts aka a mental diet).

The next time you find yourself thinking about something negative or unfavorable (eg: lack, the fight you had with your SP, your insecurities, the money you don’t have, etc.), stop yourself in your tracks and immediately switch your attention to an opposite, more favorable thought.

Continuously do this (persist) and you will quickly begin to notice your 3D confirming to your new, positive, constructive thoughts.
