EARTH SCHOOL FUN Uncomfortable positions can bring up a lot of “stuff” for us. I’m learning to laugh at this Earth school journey. Our time here is limited, and we’re here to grow out of our comfort zone. Yoga can get icky sometimes and as a yoga teacher we witness a lot of reactions while leading a class through the physical #Asana practice. But it’s our job to remain centered enough to teach crazy ass poses while seeing people’s responses to them and THEN not take any of it personal 😏 It’s tough work on both ends, I don’t feel like we share about it enough. I realized another reason why I had taken a step back from teaching last year, and it was due to this, the way I read my students. Some look angry, some look annoyed, some look bored, and some even verbally resist. After talking to friends about this I realized how none of this was on me, I mean I do have to take some responsibility, but if they are the ones resisting it’s their work. And if I’m offended by their responses then this is my work. I found I was taking this all to heart, especially as an #empath But I was reminded that people are trekking through this Earth plane just like I am and they too have their own stuff going on. They are in my class to step away from it for at least a moment and this is all apart of their journey AND mine. What’s my work? To create the space for my students to move through their own stuff and ACCEPT however it manifests. Finding compassion again for myself and my students throughout and bringing forth a sense of play and discovery while we journey on and off the mat. 📸: @voirartist . . . . . #LAYogaTeacher #LosAngelesYogaTeacher #YogaTeacher #YogaPractice #YogaFun #YogaPlay #YogaWorks #EnergyHealer #EnergyHealers #EarthSchool #WeAreAllInThisTogether (at Prema Yoga) https://www.instagram.com/p/B9hjormnjzD/?igshid=12y8evlqkh8f9
