Do you both work? If so, who watches Pancake when your work schedules overlap?

5tr3tch: *hm. gr8 questions. im gonna need to draw you a picture (literally)*in really simple terms: yes. monsters are more community minded, so we’d bring them in and everyone in the office or whatever would help take care of them.

*were not doing that entirely but thats a whole different thing so let me just explain this first:

5tr3tch: *me & Edge both work at the monster embassy. im a public relations officer that dabbles in monster services and Edge is the military attache.

5tr3tch: *what does that mean for me?*basically im the guy that comes up with and helps implement cross cultural events, like festivals and marathons and stuff. (if u guys have any ideas, hit me up)*i also get sent to represent monsterkind at human events a lot, like going to your country’s birthday parties or park opening or whatever. 

5tr3tch: *i pull double duty with monster services too, and that’s basically helping monsters smooth out issues with their human communities. *thats a whole lotta stuff, as your probably guessing- everything from getting together documentation for international travel to going all the way out to the acadian forest to keep The Jerry from getting shot by terrified townspeople who only spoke french.*never a dull day.

5tr3tch: *and then Edge as the military attache is in charge of all the military matters of the embassy.*monsters are peaceful and we really don’t wanna get into a war with humans thatll send us back down underground for hundreds ever again. *buuuuuuuut we wanna make sure we know what yall are doing in that area, you feel?*see if we can’t help you come up with peaceful solutions and strategies and whatever. what else do you do, babe?

Edge: Mediation. 5tr3tch: *oh yeah. hubby provides objective opinions to disagreements and conflicts, and reminds everyone like a bazillion times that were not gonna weaponize magic for anyone ever.

5tr3tch: *and then there’s Pancake! *soooo, babies are a little bit different for us. we dont really leave them at home like yall.*they hang out with their parents at their workplaces or homes or whatever until theyre big enough to go to school. *everyone in the office or wherever helps look after them- entertaining and dancing and singing and stuff with them. some monsters even BATTLE each other for the opportunity to do stuff with the baby, heh. *everyone is super happy to help out however they can.

5tr3tch: *youre probably thinking: why would you do that? aren’t babies super loud and weepy and distracting?*well, monster babies literally radiate joy and love and happiness until theyre like 5 months old. (varies between species) *so its a great morale boost having them in the office. and it works well on humans too, so Pancake’s the youngest diplomat on the team to soften them up to some proposal and agreements and stuff.

5tr3tch: *…*thats how its supposed to be, anyway.

This is stupid but i’ll ask anyway. Can skeletons have hair?

I mean...lol. I’m not about to stop anyone from giving them hair. I believe @lazy-hazy experimented with just that. They had some very interesting designs and a very interesting way of implementing them—the hair was made of magic, a bit like an ecto-body. It’s not something I headcanon personally? But I’m certainly not going to say it’s a bad idea at all.

So I suppose the answer is yes? Not in my works, but if you want to give them hair, there are definitely ways to do it. ^_^

I don’t know what this is but it was 5 AM and I wanted to do some lazy ass art so here it be.

It's a Monday, it's raining, the sky is grey and I barely got any down time over the weekend at all. This song is the most perfect soundtrack for slipping in and out of consciousness, which is more or less how I'm spending my day (in bed, ha!).  I'm sorry hardworking people of the world, but I couldn't move even if I wanted to (which I don't). Self employed swag.

And on that note. Zzzzzz.
