Found these adorable soup mugs at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Sierra Vista the other day, and this onion one was perfect for the spring onions we picked up earlier this week. The onions are from Mexico, but Mexico is a half hour bike ride from my house so that's still pretty local. ^_- (Actually, it is even closer than that but the nearest border crossing is a half hour away.) Bought this gorgeous pendant from Steel Creek Glass ( @rich_creek on IG ) #inBisbee #Arizona this past weekend while doing work for @inbisbee and Leafleur Magazine ( @loveleafleur on IG/FB but Leafleur on Twitter ). Wore it everywhere the past two days. So pretty! ^_^ I actually got two and was going to give one to someone as a gift, but I created a really neat gift basket I'll be auctioning off instead to fund some things that will serve dual-purpose for the magazine and my medicinal needs - namely me wanting to both review and own a @cannajanestyle wristlet but I also need to review/get a new vaporizer as well... Debating between Pax and a DaVinci Ascent... Medicating with one of those would be much easier for when I'm super sick and can't even sit up... But I'll talk more about those on Leafleur to help others in my boat who are needing to medicate responsibly and respectfully while working or just getting a chance to actually enjoy life. :) Eventually I want to do a giveaway with one of those purses, too (that or annabis) for The Partakery Shop once it reopens but I have to save up to test all of the products first (and we're still looking for physical space for the boutique/gallery/museum. Anyway, I'm going to be doing a few fun auctions like that to fund these and a few other things for the site (like an art show of some sort to benefit a local blind artist who needs an AZ card). That and some other auctions to fund affordable IT and business solutions for the people of Bisbee (and Cochise County), Arizona, an art show to raise money for a very young artist's education, and a few other projects we have up our sleeves. :) Also working on some things for a pop-up shop booth at the Farmer's Market so we hope to see you there (as The Bazaar Traveler and inBisbee/eCaravan.Co) soon! I have been stuck in this bed for almost two days now. The irony of it is that I've been too sick to get to the doctor so I can get the only medicine that helps me without killing me more like all my other meds do... I qualified for the "Charlotte's Web" law in Florida (seizures and muscle spasms, neither treatable with anything else) but they had so much BS they never opened any grows let alone dispensaries. Not that CBD-only helps me 100% but it would be a start. Here in AZ I qualify with my PTSD, seizures, and like three or four of the other things I have. The first time I was officially prescribed CBD was back in CT when the law just changed and one of my docs got me hemp-based CBD tincture. Before that docs in Maine, Massachusetts, and Connecticut had "unofficially" recommended full-spectrum THC and CBD for my issues and TBH I was so conflicted because of misinformation it took me years to be okay with trying any of it at all. My work brought me to AZ for a while but I am scared at what will happen when I have to return to Florida in the future. They are decrimin in much of the state, but not where we were working out of plus people aren't always honest when helping others out down there in the areas that are. When Florida legalizes fully let alone medicinal it will do so much good, but as much as I love it there my life is a terrifying ball of agony without this little plant... ah. Oh well. We were technically in Seattle for my husband's birthday but I also used it as an opportunity to do work on Leafleur Magazine ( @loveleafleur ). Had it not been for that, and the good people at the Ganja Goddess dispensary, I would not have been healthy enough to explore the city. (Thank goodness for 'Chocolope' oil!) In fact, I was nervous about flying out of PDX 'high' at all when we went to leave from Oregon later that week that I skipped the medicine available to me there that day. The result? I was so sick Jet Blue waived there cancellation fees so they could get me on a plane the next day. That time I smoked first, and I was fine (both physically and with my fear of the TSA - they just cared about bombs, not that some girl with 5+ health issues had a joint before she came to the airport. In fact, they probably appreciated I wasn't seizing, vomitting, passing out, screaming in pain, etc.). Crazy (and early) morning again as surprise storms pounded down right after I let Cooper out but before I could walk Zoe. They insisted I not sleep in past 5a as I'd hoped, so I had a terrified beagle who had conflicted desires to both hide and go outside to go potty. By the time I started working at the office I realized I still looked like someone who had eight hours of sleep total the past two nights combined. I realized it'd been a while since I did a before-and-after shoot for the blog, and I'm packing up my make-up case for the upcoming @inbisbee trip anyway, so why not take care of three things at once? ^_^ Now, which cosmetics should I use? This road map has seen hundreds of thousands of miles by now. One of the first things we purchased together, and on one of our early adventures together in Maine no less. Even held a copy of our marriage license from when we eloped while working on a stopover in Colorado last year. Doing some repairs before our next set of adventures. We've heard so many stories of people being laughed at when asking for maps at stores across the country, which is unfortunate as hardcopy maps, compasses, and computerized GPS systems work together so well. Leaving soon for family, friends, and clients in New York and across New England in between doctors' appointments and testing. By creating platforms for life and work on the go I don't have to let my health get even more in the way than it would otherwise!
