Over the last few days I’ve had 3 frozen ‘lean meals’ (I haven’t had much time to cook or plan meals) And I gotta say I’m not entirely sure who they’re for There’s like nothing in them I had a meatloaf a mash one that was not only about as much food as a childrens’ lunchables, but there were also no fruit or veggies Same for the steak and portabella one. This one had like 1/4 cup of broccoli, but was still like, no food. I literally ate it and was hungry an hour later. Today was a margarita and chicken spaghetti. The box it was in was deceptively large. I gave it a 3/10. It got an extra point for the chicken being decent. But the sauce was tomato water with canned tomatoes thrown on top. The pasta wasn’t even wheat/whole wheat. The problem is Not that the food is bad (though my 3rd one was) But what follows is heavier snacking So for people looking to these meals to help them cut calories are ultimately losing out because they make up the difference in snacks later My breakfast this morning was 303 calories It kept me full from 6:30AM - 2PM And it’s good 3/4 Cup Calrose Sticky Rice 1 Tilapia filet 1 sheet of nori, shredded 10 Good Thins rice crackers, crushed 2 tsp Shiso Fumi Furikake As much green tea as I want There’s no real point to this other than I’m rather annoyed by what I committed to (by actually eating) having for lunch
