Yesterday I actually skated in a skate park! Like it was a legit ass skate park and I skated in it! No, I didn't even look at any ramps (fuck no!) and no, it was not pretty! But I did it! I fell a few times cuz weirdly smooth but sloping floor but just soft tumbles. Skate park skating happened! Very good skate session today, got tons of laps in AND survived another near disaster: loose, rattling front wheels. So far I've survived that and a toe stop falling off without dying. Mildly shocking victories! OK, wrapping up a week of rink time with a few mini achievements (and also not falling down): managed together 30 CONSECUTIVE LAPS in 😯, no stopping! This was absolutely the highlight of my day...cuz my day has been hot garbage. Absolutely exhausting long ass week, I say on a Monday night. I got about an hour reprive of just gliding on wheels and then more garbage. On the one hand, 30 laps in my AR2S and I think trucks are finally loose enough. On the other hand after skating I found out Tina had a flat AF tire and I had to get her towed. FML.
