One of my favorites is by working with plant spirits and old folk charms. Rowan is known to have protective properties and can help combat enchantments sent by other witches and magicians. Red thread is commonly used in Scotland and other locations within the Celtic landscape as a protective element. Hagstones, amber and Rowan berries are strung on red thread as protective amulets.
