“Does anyone have the time to bring you down?”
My ficlet 12 Years and 3 Months is now on AO3! Created for @dramioneromcomfest 2020, this piece was inspired by the film When Harry Met Sally. I’m particularly proud of this piece because it is the first time that I’ve posted a completed work for a fest, instead of just a partial product.

Things that surprise me more than this:
1. this quotes an interview done by AOL. Who the fuck knew AOL still existed??
2. I didn’t link the original because its headline was: “Hermione/Draco forever? 'Harry Potter' stars discuss fanfics, theories and on-set romances.” and I’m not saying it’s a homophobic slant on the actual interview, but no one actully came down on the side of Dramione (Leather and Libraries)
3. the interview question sets the love between Harry and Draco “while he was with Ginny” whereas “Fact or fanfic: Hermione and Draco were meant to be together” further setting up the slash ship as a kind of betrayal.
Basically this is how clickbait media manages to be homophobic while putting on a mask of acceptance.
