t's 2026, and somehow my dreams invented a fanfic "written" by @copperbadge where a jaded Harry Potter left Auror training to become a social servant in the reforming/ed Minsitry.. Maybe a more @blamebrampton's style than Sam's, but he's been in my subconscious later.

What followed was dreaming through my own Harru/Draco fic "following" Sam's. Honestly, it was pretty complete, amd if the cultural climate wasn't what it is, I'd write both fics. They were appropriately queer and ACAB-coded, including a consideration of House Elf gendering.

I’m losing my mind. Or perhaps finding it. To  tell this tale, I need to take you back a year, back to when I first acquired the Titanic Tarot 2nd Ed: Risen Souls. 

As we’ve discussed before, I have to scan my Little White Books so that they can be displayed as white on black text.  It’s a fun result of the same corneal injury that led to me starting tarot in the first place. When the time came to do so for the Titanic deck, I couldn’t find it. And on this case, I really wanted it, because I had a hunch that the Courts were real people, and also some cards I really wanted the artist’s perspective on.

I swear, no LWB. I thought I’d seen one when I first got the deck, and I’d definitely taken everything out of the box, because The Fool had gotten stuck in the box lid, and I remember having to pry it out.

But no LWB.

I accidentally ordered a 1st Ed from eBay in search of a LWB. Turned out, it didn’t come with one, and also the first edition is kind of offensive? There’s a weird mermaid side-quest? Whatever, I passed it on via Facebook.

April comes around again. I didn’t end up using the deck for my brother, the boat captain, but I did want to use it for a client reading. Tis the season. As I was packing the cards up after finishing the reading, what was on my bed? The goddamn Little (Blue) Book.
