No one is watching Heosuabi aka The Scarecrow for the plot. We are all in this for one thing and one thing only and good god does the show deliver on that.

I finally started "The Scarecrow," and I get the toxic yaoi that the internet has been talking about, lol. I'm still on Episode 4, but something something the toxic masculinity of the era (=1988) that positions men as the protectors (of women) and how it fails spectacularly*, turning them into killers, bullies, and cops, and at the same time preventing a young boy from having feelings for his best friend, turning them into enemies in a lifetime of dick-measuring contests instead.

(*Also love that this complements Bong Joon-ho's "Memories of Murder" well)
