Hi! I saw your post for requests with those prompts :)
If you connect with this (if not no worries): “we need to at least pretend to be civil - can you find it in yourself do that much for me, please?” with Legolas
"legolas, prince of mirkwood, i am astonished by your inability to feign politeness." it was a biting remark, yes, but well deserved by your calculations. you spoke through an amiable, unassuming smile, your tone as agreeable as the words were critical. "should you wish to fool any man, elf, dwarf or otherwise, you would do well to polish your manners!"
"it would not be so difficult to maintain manners to your liking were you a more pleasant companion." legolas made much less of an effort to sound pleased to be in conversation with you, which would have certainly ruined your ruse of a loving couple should you have been trying to fool the eyes and ears of elves. he relied on the less perceptive senses of humankind, a crutch that you did not wish to lean on.
"i say! i can not think of what i have done to provoke your ire, but i must insist that we at least pretend to be civil—can you not find it in yourself to do that much for me? please?" this was not the right way to ask for his cooperation.
"for you i should not be prevailed upon to do much of anything."
you bristled, unable for a moment to keep your face from showing the genuine hurt that his dismissal caused.
stiffly, he amended his words. "but for the sake of escaping discovery, i will yield." he had not realized how quickly what he thought to be teasing—which was brought about in the first place by the strange way he felt about you—had slipped into a harsher sarcasm.
he held his arm out for you to take, awkward at first, and quieted. the sudden surrender and unexpected flash of guilt in his features gave you pause, but you recovered quickly, joining arms and plastering that contented smile back on your lips. as the town square grew busier, you could only hope that, should anyone have been paying you any attention, it would have read only as a momentary lover's spat. it was bad enough that you presented as an abnormally handsome couple, even with legolas's most elvish features tucked behind a hood and drab, unremarkable clothing.
finally without so much spoken indignation (of which much less was actually ever felt by both parties), you mingled among the townsfolk, posing as kindly, clueless, and innocent travelers seeking food and shelter for the night. with more ease than predicted, you slipped into your roles, so sweet and charming that it was not difficult to gather information from those that you spoke with.
the evening ended with the two of you settled in the town's humble, but warm inn and making light jests that no longer served as a performance. perhaps they were an apology, as they continued when you were alone and waiting for silence to fall.

On tumultuous nights in which Legolas would undertake watch, the Fellowship and seemingly the entire forest would fall into a deep, weary slumber. Despite dozing constantly during your trek across the foothills, much to Gimli's envy, when day finally welcomed the night your worries continued plaguing your mind. You had laid staring up at the stars, knowing exactly which ones would lead you home to Rivendell. Despite the stick digging into your shoulders, it wasn't the thought of a snug bed and safe fire that tempted you, but rather those that you'd left behind. Before you joined the fellowship, there had been whispers of exodus. In the moment you had been hungry for adventure, ignoring the signs, but what if you'd made a mistake? You couldn't help but picture your kin sailing to the Grey Havens, escaping the torment that kept you from a good night's rest.
"Having trouble?" a kindly voice whispered. You briskly shot up, turning towards the source.
He sat back to a tree, vigilantly carving away at a piece of wood with his dagger. Despite your weapons lying comfortably around you; daggers by your ankle and spear by your side, Legolas's bow and quiver remained strapped to his back.
"Well that can't be comfortable," you teased, imagining the feel of a bow poking into your back. Suddenly you felt better about the stick.
"I could say the same thing about your arrangement," his head pointed towards your spot on the floor, eyes transfixed on his work.
"Hm, touché," you smirked, a pleasant silence falling between you.
The woods were immensely calm; the stridulation of insects a harmonious melody drowned out by a singular frog and its stark croak. The tranquility reflected in your companions, whose soft huffs of air you could hear below the crackling of the firewood. Maybe it was your expansive hearing that kept you from a restful sleep. You suddenly couldn't help but envy your newfound friends. Your thoughts were interrupted by the carving of wood as Legolas began to struggle with a corner, sawing forcefully at the bark.
"And what, exactly, are you making at this ungodly hour?" You stared at him with the corner of your eye, feigning annoyance.
"Wouldn't you like to know," the sawing continued.
"Mhm, what an astute observation" you mocked, standing and taking your place next to him, letting your head rest against the tree's homely bark.
After only a few weeks spent together you and Legolas had become settled in each other's presence. Through all of your teasing, you found it incredibly difficult to find anything about him to dislike. This unnerved you in a way, that is, how effortlessly you felt yourself falling for the princeling.
The silence returned once more, but the sawing had halted. You turned your head, finding Legolas already staring at you. His eyes were fawn-like and the tips of his ears began turning pink. Despite his curious embarrassment at being caught, he didn't shy away.
"What's on your mind?" you can feel your cheeks blossoming as the question leaves your mouth, your effort to prevent the blush only making it worse.
"How about you tell me what's keeping you from a good-night's rest," his eyes shone with genuine concern as he returned to his work. You felt the tension loosening, your playful demeanor returning once more.
"And what do I get for revealing such a thing, Prince?" You crossed your arms as if it could shield your fluttering heart.
"Whatever you want," the string was being pulled tighter once more.
You tried to keep your composure, confused as to how he was flustering you so.
"How about...you tell me what you're carving and why?" His eyes seemed to widen nervously at your proposal, only adding to your curiosity.
"Hmph, deal," he reached out his hand, and you leisurely reached your hand out. His handshake was gentle and his palms sweaty.
"But earnestly, mellon nín, what is plaguing you?" he said softer than before, suddenly aware of the others sleeping around the fire.
A sigh escaped your chest before you even registered it. You never told anyone about your troubles, and yet somehow it felt natural with Legolas. You weren't sure how much to say.
"I just...haven't found my sleep to be restful. Not since we left-," you swallowed hard.
You glanced at him as you attempted to compose yourself, expecting him to encourage you with his words. But he sat silently, knowing present in the depth of his stare.
He silently nodded, urging you to continue speaking.
You continued.
"When we first left, I had no hesitancy. And yet, as we continue, both our struggles here and those at home...trouble me," a breath enters your lungs.
"I anticipated that this journey would be difficult, yes, but not impossible. The latter grows more apparent every day," you worried as to his response, and suddenly you found the ground to be rather intriguing. You began sifting the dirt through your fingers, soothing yourself as your cheeks turned red in shame. It was unlike you, let alone any elf, to be so vulnerable with another.
Suddenly, you felt a hand on your shoulder; urging you to look up. Legolas's face came into view, eyes soft and glowing with firelight.
"I'm glad I am not the only one who feels this uncertainty," he smirked, though his eyes appeared more sorrowful than anything. You breathed a sigh of relief, shoulders relaxing all at once.
"We're not meant to lose hope at the prospect of another day not appearing before us-" He halted himself.
"-But, if it's any consolation, I'm glad my last day would be spent amongst all of these wonderful individuals," you chuckled at his words, fighting back a tear. "And if I could visit Aman with anyone...," he paused, seeming to collect his thoughts.
"...I would want it to be with you," his eyes lingered on your face, his demeanor more nervous than you had ever witnessed.
He searched your face for any sign. Disdain, perhaps? Or maybe acceptance.
Your breathing hitched as his eyes dipped down to your lips. Your arms could no longer muffle the sound of your hammering heart.
You were suddenly made aware of the hand on your shoulder, the way Legolas's hair seemed to burn more so than glow, the way his eyes sparkled with moonlight as they looked at you with the reverence of a thousand worshippers.
"Seems we have the same wish," you said quietly. Your words lingered as neither of you moved. Legolas sat motionless, not wanting to back away...or overstep.
You noticed.
Raising your hand to his cheek, you steadily moved your face closer to his. Your lips lingered over his for a second, before you moved back slightly; glimpsing into his eyes, searching for permission, before returning fluidly to his lips.
His lips encompassed your bottom lip gently, before pulling back to look at you. Your heart fluttered as he peered at you with an indescribable sense of wonder; impressing a sense of fey upon him. A smirk appeared on his face as he leaned back into your chest, his lips smashing against yours.
You could feel the string in your heart snap, all semblance of control leaving your body.
His arms wound around the back of your neck, and without a thought you moved your legs around his waist; straddling him as his back was pressed against the tree.
A small grunt escaped his lips as your hips gently made contact with his, the angles of his face sharp beneath your calloused fingertips. He gently pried your hands from his face as his lips trailed down your cheek,
then your jawline-
and then to your barely exposed neck.
You let out an audible gasp as his teeth gently bit into your skin, your hands finding their place in his hair. Legolas began shifting his hips, a pleasurable moan escaping your lips.
"SHHH," the sound emanated from the campfire.
His face leapt away from your neck, searching for the source.
Your hand covered your mouth as you fought back a roaring bout of laughter. Legolas's face was blooming as he held his breath.
Had they heard you? If Gimli had spotted the two of you neither of you would hear the end of it.
You both waited for a moment, searching for any sign of movement amongst your supposedly slumbering friends.
You couldn't believe what just happened. Next time, you resolved to find a more private location.
You let out a sigh, slumping into his chest; arms wounding around his neck as his arms found their way around your waist.
"So...who taught you that," you whispered, giggling to yourself at the thought of his lips on your neck...the claim his teeth had made on your skin.
"A certain, close source, that I shall not divulge," his hot breath lingered on your ear, his voice coarse.
"Hm, Aragorn is some mentor”
"I hope you don't mind, meleth nín,"
"Not in the slightest-" you pulled back slightly, forehead resting against his.
"-I shall wear it like a badge of honor," you kissed him on the forehead.
A certain twinkle shone in Legolas's eyes as he leaned in to kiss the bite mark with enough gentleness to make you cry yet again.
"I think we may awaken the entire forest if we continue," a blush formed on your cheeks.
"Let's get some rest then," he smiled, his cheeks painted crimson at the thought.
You stood slightly, unwinding your legs from his hips. You slid to the floor, resting your head on his now outstretched legs. Without a word, he grabbed the blanket from his side, placing it around your drowsy form.
Legolas began to hum an unfamiliar tune, fingers making lazy strokes across your face. All you could hear was his steady heartbeat and voice, drowning out all else.
Your heart swelled with warmth as you fell asleep in Legolas's arms for the first time.

You had killed thousands of spiders in the years of them slowly encroaching on Mirkwood. It was no longer a task but an annoyance to go out and take care of a nest. The only problem was the annoyance made you careless. You’d gotten a bit overconfident in it all. In the years you had been fighting them back not one had even come close to hurting you. Until today.
You were focused on a larger spider playing with it instead of just killing it, your first mistake. The second was ignoring the creeping spider on your right thinking you had more time than you really did. When you felt the stinging sensation of the spider jabbing its poison into you, you spun around and killed it instantly. Hissing in more pain than you could have imagined you ignored it and continued to eliminate as many spiders as you could. You would be fine. You would just have to head straight to a healer once you make it back to the city. Spiders poison did not work fast enough to kill you, only make you delirious.
Tauriel gave you a quick look when she saw you walking weirdly, favoring the side that had not been stung, “Is something the matter Y/N?” She pulled you back and asked once she ordered all the guard back to the castle.
Shaking your head as nonchalantly as possible you straightened up. You had thousands of years of practice to keep your face stoic even in pain, “I pulled a muscle in training yesterday. The healer told me to keep it easy, but I fear I did not listen to her words.” You smiled to her hoping she bought your lie.
She shook her head, “Why did you not tell me? You could have sat today out.”
“And miss out killing spiders? Who do you take me for Tauriel?” You laughed ignoring the growing pain on your side. Taking a quick peak down you wanted to curse seeing the green garment slightly stained with your crimson blood. It was dry by now, surely the wound was actually healed. You just needed help removing the poison.
The remaining walk back was spent in comfortable silence. You had known Tauriel for longer than you even remember. She had always been a constant in your long life. She was a few hundred years older than you and took you under her guidance early on as your parents were close friends. Poor families with strong daughters that wanted more than the living on the outskirts of the big city. Tauriel was the one with the plan, you were the one that followed always wondering what you would’ve been had Tauriel not been there?
Nevertheless, she decided she was going to be a part of the Silvan Guard and that was that. She trained hard, day in and day out. She brought you along once you were old enough to decide if that’s what you wanted. It didn’t come as a second thought as you accepted her offer to begin training. You’d worked your ways up through the different guards behind Tauriel. Finally, a few hundred years prior you had been selected by the king to join the guard. Tauriel was promoted to Captain of the Guard, and you had never been prouder. She was everything and more. A sister you never really had but always wanted.
You’d met Legolas properly the night of the celebration and even chatted for a while. It was not lost on you how his eyes occasionally glanced around the room and landed on Tauriel. She was truly a stunning elf maiden. It surprised you she had not been courted yet, that you knew of. Why wouldn’t Legolas be interested in her? She was stunning beyond measure, kind as could be, a true proven warrior in the field and the Captain of King Thranduil’s guard. What more could you actually ask for?
What you didn’t know was that he kept his eyes on her for security to the king. If he needed to react he was the castles first line of defense when he was home. For he liked Tauriel but only as a dear friend he had grown close to over the years. Ever since your arrival to the guard he had only seemed to have eyes for you. He was just simply good at hiding it from you. Only watching you when you were preoccupied in the ring training or on guard. He couldn’t help himself from just admiring you from afar sometimes. He found you to be the most exquisite elf he’d ever laid his eyes upon. The only problem he had was trying to get you alone. You always disappeared when Tauriel was around and Tauriel was always around, being your best friend and his close friend. It had frustrated him for centuries.
Even his father, King Thranduil, found amusement out of Legolas’s inability to string together a coherent conversation together. For as amusing as he did find it he was growing worried Legolas would never actually be able to figure out how to reach you. Thranduil was hesitant over his sons pining over the elf, but he had found in the limited time he had truly known you, not just heard of your talents, that you were a great match for his son. It had been almost a hundred years since you had joined his guard, and Legolas had grown closer to you but there was just something that was stopping you from indulging him. He had no clue you acted so distant was to protect yourself. It would be hard to pretend you didn’t have a crush on the elf.
You had nearly gotten to the castle before the familiar golden blonde elf appeared in front of the both of you. The poison was really starting to hurt now. You needed to get away from the both of them and down to the healers. You’d just have to think of a good excuse after a moment of listening into their conversation.
“Tauriel, Y/N.” He gave the both of you a quick bow which you only returned with a head nod for you were not so sure you wouldn’t be able to wince from the pain, “How did the day go?” He asked as he looked over both of you. Your heart rate picked up when he spotted the dried blood on the side of your dress. Legolas was observant and even as Tauriel answered him his eyes stayed laser focused in on your form.
“Successful day. I am positive we have not reached the nest yet though. We will be back out tomorrow if you care to join us, my prince.” She answered giving you a curious look as his eyes were still looking right at you.
He gave her a quick nod as if to almost dismiss her before turning back to you. Tauriel stood there stunned at his curious behavior before she walked away slowly hoping to hear the conversation between her two obvious friends. No matter how many times she had told you the two of them were just friends you would never seem to believe her. It was slowly driving her mad as the both of you seemed be so clueless over the others fascination with the other.
“Are you all right?” He asked after a moment of the both of you looking at the other, “You look pale and there is blood on your side.” His head tilted in concern as he stepped closer.
A quick nod, “I am just fine. A small nick on this side is all. I must get going to bathe now if we are to be back out there tomorrow.” Giving him a nervous laugh, you attempted to walk away but he was having none of it. He had let you walk away far too many times, and he wasn’t letting you do it anymore. He wanted to know you. He wanted to understand you. He wanted to spend a lifetime and more with you as he was utterly fascinated with everything he had learned and is learning about you.
You looked down at you wrist being held by his much larger hand then back up to those blue eyes you found so mesmerizing. When he saw you weren’t prepared to speak he did to fill the silence, “You are not fine. You are favoring your left side. You will not look me in the eye and that blood is not even dried! What is wrong Y/N?” He nearly begged while giving your wrist a squeeze hoping to coax an answer out of your stubborn mouth. A trait he both loved and hated when it came to him being on the receiving end.
You looked down, “It is embarrassing. Promise you will not laugh?” You asked him knowing there was no way out of this. When he was focused on something he would not let it go. You were his focus right now and you had a feeling you would pass out before he would just let you wander off now.
His eyes scrunched in concern at your request. What had happened in those woods and why were you hiding it from him? “I would never laugh at you mellon nin.” He grinned right to you.
Rolling your eyes you answered him, “That is a lie for you laughed at me just yesterday!”
He had yet to drop your hand and had no plans to as he waited for your confession, “I was merely laughing with you. Not at you.”
Narrowing your eyes at him you responded, “I was not laughing though.”
“That is beside the point.” He grinned knowing you had bested him, “Can you please tell me what is wrong then?”
“I need to go to a healer. I got stung by a spider. I was careless out there and got bested.” You spoke quietly hoping no others had heard. Your reputation would likely suffer. How could a Kings Guardself get stung so easily?
He frowned taking your words into consideration before deciding what to do, “Follow me. I will heal you. Up to my chambers.” Your feet started following him as he led you to his room. You had been there a few times, but this was beginning to feel different. He was casting gazes at you that you had never seen from the elf you’d grown to love.
“Sit there.” He pointed to his bed like it meant nothing. You hesitated as you looked over the pristinely made bed you’re sure a helper had done up for him.
“Are you sure…”
“None of that. Sit.” He waved you off not letting your brain give it a second thought. You watched as he gathered a few supplies from his bathroom before kneeling at your side.
After a few moments he spoke, “I will have to cut into your dress further.”
“You are lucky I am handy with a needle.” You nodded letting him know it was fine. You would have to show a little skin if he was to actually heal you.
“I will have a seamstress repair it. Do not bother with it.” He smiled right back at you before he began to delicately cut the fabric away. He knew he should not be enjoying this as much as he was, but he was finally getting some time alone with you. It felt like a miracle even if it was at your sake.
“That’d hardly be necessary.”
He hummed before cleaning off the wound, “It’s all right to let people take care of you, you do know that right?”
It was your turn to frown as you took in his words, “I must rely on myself. My parents live far away. My brother was killed in the war. It is just Tauriel and I now. And even then she is busy being the captain most days.”
Legolas looked up to you with a sadness you had hardly ever seen, “This may sting.” He spoke quickly in a much older version of Sindarin. You could hardly make out what he was saying. Instead, you closed your eyes fighting the growing stinging sensation in your side. It would burn until it was all out and unfortunately for you it had been spreading for some time. You clenched your teeth together as the spell worked to pull all the spiders poison from your system. When it was all clear you felt that signature wave of exhaustion come over you after all the adrenaline had finally started wearing away.
“Thank you.” Blinking your eyes rapidly you were trying your hardest to stay awake. At this rate it would be a miracle if you could make it back to your quarters without passing out due to the exhausting beating you.
He gave you a quick nod as he studied you. His concern only grew as he spotted your weary eyes giving way to your overtiredness, “Lay down. Rest your eyes.”
“Oh, Legolas I cannot.” You stood with a wobble for which he quickly grabbed at your waist steadying
“I insist. You will not make it back in your state. My bed is comfortable. Rest, mellon nin. I will be here in the morning.” He pulled the covers back guiding your over. He knew he wasn’t going to sleep at all. He was going to watch and listen to make sure your heart was steady. Your breathing was regular. He knew that you would be just fine, of course. That did not stop the twinge of worry as he saw you in a far more fragile state than he was used to. And you were trusting him instead of running away
“Thank you.” You whispered after he had pulled the covers up over you. Thankful for the night cover because you were sure your cheeks were blazing red. It felt oddly intimate to be cared for so casually. Nobody had really ever done that for you before.
“Quite literally, anytime. Now rest, I will see you in the morning.” He pushed you to close your eyes. And he was right. It did not take you more than a few moments to fall into a deep sleep helping your body recover.
When your eyes opened sunlight was hitting them. You had slept through the night for the first time in a long time. You peaked your eyes over seeing Legolas standing close but far enough to give you your distance with a brilliant smile on his face. You admired his beautiful blue eyes that reflected even brighter than usual. It simply was not fair that an elf could be as handsome as he was.
He took a step closer when your eyes locked with his, “How do you feel?”
“Much better. I slept very well.” You gave him a lazy smile as you sat up in his bed. It hit you that you spent the night in his chambers let alone his bed. Your mother would be horrified to learn you had done such a thing. But you had the suspicion he would never let such a thing get out to anyone. He would find a way to get you out of the royal tower without a second thought. This was Legolas. He would never let your reputation suffer on his behalf.
He nodded taking another step closer, “I told you my bed was comfortable.” His smile only grew into a smirk as he witnessed your cheeks flame up with color. How easy it was to get a reaction from you now that he could properly talk to you, “You look much better this morning. Much more color in your cheeks.” He teased you only worsening your reaction.
You looked down feeling his gaze too much, “You tease me so Legolas.”
He laughed softly, “Indeed. Is it so hard to believe I enjoy seeing you blush?”
You felt you heart pick up speed, “You do?”
“Aye, I enjoy everything about you actually.” He smiled feeling like he was finally letting it all out, “You’re the most interesting elf I have ever got to meet.” He only smiled seeing your shocked expression grow.
“What are you saying Legolas?” It came out as a whisper as if you were afraid of his answer. And you were truthfully.
“I love you. I have loved you for a long time. You have just never given me the chance to show you.” He grinned once more as he kneeled next to the bed, so he was eye level with you. He grabbed at your hand holding it in his.
Your eyes snapped up to his at that admission, “I thought… I thought you liked Tauriel?” You blinked at him more confused than ever. Had you truly been that oblivious to his feelings? You felt your hand growing warm in his.
“Tauriel?” he let out a low laugh, “No, never. She is more of a sister to me than anything.” He had confirmed what she had been telling you for years.
Licking your lips, you were sure he had heard your heart rate speed up at a rapid pace, “Oh, this is news to me.”
He smiled at your sudden bashfulness, “Is that all then?”
You felt the heat creeping up your cheeks, “You like me?” You asked him in response to his question.
“I love you.” He corrected you, “Meleth nin.” He brushed messy stray hairs away from your face. He was thrilled when he placed a gentle hand on your shoulder, and you didn’t recoil or run away. You seemed more at a loss for words than he had expected. You always had a quick comeback to his words, but these had you stumped.
You whispered the words, “Meleth nin.” With the widest eyes right back at him.
His grin only widened seeing your expression shift from confusion to shock right back to bashfulness. He found you adorable in every sense of the word, “I’ve been trying to tell you for yours. But you always…”
“Run away.” You laughed bringing him to laugh right alongside you. The tension in the air evaporated in an instant as the two of you enjoyed a round of laughs shared early in the morning as the sun rose for the day.
“Exactly that.” He’d confirmed bringing you back down to reality.
After your fit of giggles had ended you looked down and away from his intense gaze, “Please forgive me for I thought you loved Tauriel. I did not want to intrude.”
Feeling his warm fingers beneath your chin he brough your eyes up to look right into his blue ones, “You must here me when I say that I forgive you. I forgive you a thousand times. Although we could have started this years ago it is all right. Please, will you let me take you out tomorrow? I’ll show you my favorite path behind the castle with the most beautiful flowers.” He paused trying to read your ever so stoic expression. When you broke into another grin he breathed out that sigh of relief he so desperately needed. He never imagined it to be so nerve wracking admitting such feelings to a friend like you.
“I would love to Legolas.”
He grabbed at your hands giving the back of one of them a slow kiss, “You do me a great honor, Y/N. “He let your hands go as he stood and moved towards the door.
Your face broke into a frown, “Where are you going?” It sounded whiny as it left your mouth. How had this elf made such a mess out of you so quickly?
He smiled not minding it a bit. He found he quite liked the departure of your usual self for one that’s much more needy, “You need to eat, meleth nin. I am grabbing you a plate of food. I will be but twenty minutes.”
You shook your head, “I can go, no need for you to make a trip out of it.” But before you could swing your legs over the bed he was stopping you.
He walked back over pushing you back down in bed for the second time in as many days, “No need to. Rest, please?”
You huffed, “I feel fine Legolas.”
“Meleth nin, let me help you.” He brushed his thumb along your cheek, “Please?” He asked once more now that you had calmed down a bit.
“Fine.” You crossed your hands over your chest trying not to argue with him. He was just being sweet. Let him do this.
He leaned down placing the softest, gentlest kisses to your temple, “Thank you.” He whispered before placing another kiss on your cheek. Pulled away he knew he would leave your mind reeling for at least the next twenty or so minutes.
“I will be back. Rest please.” He insisted once more as he walked to his bedroom door. Turning back to you he only grinned seeing you tucked so cozily in his bed. A sight he had wished to see for so long.
“As you insist, my prince.” You winked. Closing your eyes, you only heard his laugh before the door clicked shut. You decided fairly quickly that you could get used to this. Somebody to help. Somebody to care. Somebody to be there for you.

Would anyone be interested in writing a fic for a reader who kinda hides her birthday from everyone because she’s used to it being a disappointment and whever it is finds out and does like a cute little birthday celebration with just them or with their little family?? I am trying to prepare myself for a disappointing birthday and would love a comfort fic. But as always no pressure no worries and most of all ignore if you want to but thank you for reading it this far 💕
For the blurb writings, what about
9. “i’m just glad you’re safe.” + Legolas? 💜
omg the CUTEST THING YESSSS i need legolas love rn
you’re safe
You knew he was worried. From the moment the battle had begun and he wore that little crease between his eyebrows to the moment you had claimed victory of Helm’s Deep, he couldn’t stop thinking of you. Of whether you were okay, of where you were. The battle was so messy, chaotic, it was easy to lose track of just about anyone.
Which really proved a point about how incredible of a fighter he was. If he could survive the whole battle practically unscathed, sliding down a staircase on a shield and taking down orc after orc while still thinking of and keeping an eye out for you, that damn elf was the best multitasker Middle Earth had ever seen.
“You’re cut,” his soft fingers — the same ones that had been gripping a bow or dagger the whole night — grazed your cheek in a gentle caress, stopping ever so closely to the cut on your cheekbone. Which wasn’t even caused by a blade, honestly; it was from being knocked to the ground during the explosion.
The skin was red and irritated, but not badly wounded. The cut wasn’t deep, much to Legolas’ relief. And it wasn’t caused by a poisoned blade either — the skin wasn’t discoloured or infected.
Just a small cut.
“I’m alright, my love,” your own hand came up to reach his, interlacing your calloused fingers with his. How his skin was still unblemished and smooth after thousands of years of archery, you couldn’t understand. But you adored them. His soft touches, the way his hands would always wander up your corset or fighting leathers to rub gentle circles on your lower back. His touch soothes all worries you might ever have.
He nodded at your words, still not seeming totally convinced, “I know. I know,” he leaned closer and brought your joined hands to his chest, “I just… I’m just glad you’re safe. I know you’re more than capable. It’s that… I just find myself feeling worried quite often when we’re in these circumstances.”
You stood off of the healing table, stepping closer to him and looking him dead in the eye, “That’s love. It’ll do that to you. Make you worry, I mean.” You let out a small chuckle and he did the same, “I’m glad that you’re safe. We’re both okay. We’re together.”
A tiny dimple appeared on his cheek as he broke into a small grin, his gaze going back and forth between your lips and your eyes, “We’re together.”

Winter in the Greenwood was absolutely serene.
The snow always looked pure and untouched, the trees glittered in the sunlight, and the cold allowed you to huddle up with your loved ones for warmth.
Winter in the Greenwood also meant that the lake closest to the Palace was frozen over. Standing atop the snow on the bank of the lake, you take a deep breath. The cold winter air felt lovely brushing against your skin and filling your lungs.
Your foot makes contact with the thick ice, excitement bubbling inside of you, there is only one season when you’re able to skate across the frozen water, so you must cherish it while it lasts.
“Man le carel sí?”
The voice has you whipping a concealed dagger from your boot out before facing the noise. However, you lose your balance as your feet slide against the ice at your quick movements. Though you manage to regain your balance before you fall.
“Legolas!” You gasp, slipping your weapon away when you see your friend the Prince before you. His light hair is adorned with snowflakes and his blue eyes look at you curiously.
“I did not mean to frighten you, (Y/n),” He bows his head apologetically. “Though what are you doing way out here?”
“Skating,” You smile, gesturing to the ice underneath your feet. “Gliding over the ice,”
“Do you not fall?”
Legolas’ eyebrows furrow in confusion, stepping closer to you, but still staying on the safety of the snow at the edge of the ice. He eyes the ice worriedly, afraid he’ll either watch you slip or fall right through to the freezing water below.
“Come, mellon nîn,” Laughing, you extend a hand out to him, “let me show you how to glide,”
The cold gets to him as he sees your offering hand, cheeks dusting pink.
“Estelio nîn,”
“Show me,” Legolas takes your hand, fingers intertwining with your own as he steps warily on the ice. He only steps with the tips of his toes before trusting you enough to bring his heels down as well.
Despite your light footwear, your feet barely feel the cold underneath them.
With your hands still connected you take him gliding, keeping it simple, only stepping near the edge of the lake.
You let go to have him practice on his own, twirling a bit to show off your skill.
“Come, Legolas!” You smile, encouraging him, causing the dusting of pink across his face to deepen.
Legolas takes one step, eyes trained on you before his foot slides out from underneath him.
“Ai!”
His body falls back, crashing against the ice. In an instant, your Prince has been bested by the ice.
“Legolas!” Crying out, you make your way over to the dazed Prince, picking his head up to watch you approach him.
“I believe I need more practice,” Your friend chuckles, rubbing the back of his head. Shining eyes meet your own.
“Then let us practice more,” You pull him up, keeping his body close to you in order to help him stay up.
A/N: I had a request about this quite a long time ago now. But only recently have I gotten the motivation to write it. Hope you like it lovely. Sorry it took so long. And thank you for the compliment 🤍

Summary: Legolas braids your hair as he is madly in love with you.
You were a beautiful elf. Everyone you crossed admired your beauty. Many men wanted you for themselves, but you were already taken. You had fallen in love with Legolas. The elven prince. He didn’t just love you for your beauty on the outside, but for on the inside as well. And you were the same with him. You two were inseparable. Nothing could possibly tear you apart from each other, and over the years, others realized that and craved the love you two had for each other.
-
You had long Y/H/C and Legolas always loved to braid it. You’d braid Legolas’ hair as well. He secretly liked when you would play with his hair. But he’d never tell you that.
-
You were sitting in Legolas’ giant room on his bed, waiting for him to come back from his day of training.
You played with your dress. It was a light blue, off the shoulder gown. It had little silver flowers littered at the waist.
-
Not long after, Legolas walked into the room. He noticed you sitting on his bed and smiled.
You examined him. God he was beautiful. He was the most handsome elf you had ever laid your eyes on. And he was all yours.
He came to sit beside you. “Hello my love.” He said, as he kissed your shoulder.
“Hello love.” You replied, smiling at him.
He stroked a strand of your hair out of your face to get a better view. He smiled at you. Looking at every inch of your face. Almost as if he was memorizing you.
“You’re so beautiful.” He whispered, as if talking to himself. You blushed and looked down. “Thank you.” You said.
“How was your day?” You asked.
He sighed. “It’s over now.” He said.
That meant something went wrong today, you could tell he didn’t want to talk about it, so you didn’t push to figure it out.
He was here now. That’s all that mattered.
Legolas started playing with your hair, he was twirling it around in his fingers, and softly stroking it.
“Can I braid your hair?” He asked. You smiled and nodded your head yes.
You moved so your back was turned to him, so he could have better access to all of your hair.
He softly gathered all of your hair together and loosely braided your hair.
“All done.” He said, as he placed both of his hands on your shoulders and was messaging them lightly.
You were almost falling asleep at the touch of Legolas. He was so gentle, and his hands were so soft.
“Mmm.” You mumbled.
He smiled looking at your face to see your eyes closed.
He moved to lean against the headboard of his bed. He pulled you in, so you were sitting in between his legs with your back to his chest.
He moved your braid so it went along the one side of you.
He continued to message your shoulders as you slowly fell asleep against him.
Once he had noticed you drifted off to sleep, he wrapped his arms around the front of you.
“You’re so beautiful.” He whispered, kissing the top of your head.
Legolas was absolutely in love with you. He could have the worst day ever, but the second he saw you; everything was fine again. He could never love anything or anyone in this world as much as he loves you.
You were his and he was yours. You would always be, for a very very long time. Always and forever.
