Lestat de Lioncourt. The Vampire Lestat. Rockstar Lestat. The Brat Prince. Lelio (not Harlequin). Wolfkiller.
Just imagine what a callback these scenes will be when Armand stares at Lestat on stage again, only that this time he'll see him not as an actor but as a rock star.
I stayed awake till 4 am last night for the Mexico comic con clip. I regret nothing!
I can not stop hearing Brutal Love and Your Biggest Fan playing in my mind. Why do I love when he does slower songs?
Shall we asses which lines get me the most?
Give this bitch some credit - he was consistent with his mouche placement, event 200+ years later.
“La galante”, because of course that’s what he’d choose… a charming hero!

“I wanted to perform the way my mortals, Tough Cookie and Alex and Larry, wanted to perform. After the gruelling work of building the records and films, I wanted us to raise our voices together before the screaming throng. And at odd moments I remembered those long-ago nights at Renaud's little theatre too clearly. The strangest details came back, the feel of the white paint as I had smoothed it over my face, the smell of the powder, the instant of stepping before the footlights.”
Well, this improvisation isn’t particularly apt for the quote… but I was thinking about memory and Renaud's.
And, honestly, I was thinking - wouldn’t this be an impactful scene on TV - Lestat, preparing to take to the stage as a rockstar, intercut with him getting himself ready to be Lelio (if he’ll definitely be Lelio, that is…)
It feels a while since Rockstar Lestat came out to play.
Lestat by @toriangeli
I've seen a lot of people quoting Rolin saying he's "uninterested in Lelio" or that "Lelio is boring", (usually accompanied by panic) but I can't find a source for this. Do you know what interview this is from, or even if it happened?
Hello!
So I'm sorry to be replying so late to this, but it was during the NYC premiere events, during the panel hosted by Damien Holbrook. I meant to look for the clip of the event to put in this reply weeks ago, which is why my reply was initially delayed (before my RL took over for a time). So at this point, it's been so long since you sent this ask, that you might have already gotten the answer. If not, I found a clip on YouTube with that part here on YouTube (starts at 5:37):
When Rolin said that, about Lelio being "boring," he was clearly joking. I fully expect that we will see Lestat as Lelio in Season 3.
