DJ LeMahieu learning the power of social media
AMSTERDAM #2 - Stoner
For the second part of Alien-Local photo shoot I chose a green color themed outfit, covered with heavy leather coat. I heard dutch people don’t like impressing with their couture, so it had to be toned down to something more wearable, but still grungy, comfortable and suitable for a Weed theme. This way I could freely perform as a constantly-falling-man figure, without stress of getting dirty or soaking wet. It occurs, there was no reason to worry - streets of Amsterdam are as clean as my kitchen. And, unless there’s some dancing on the table on Friday night, my kitchen is squeaky clean.
Clean streets with beautiful greens, growing out of every house entrance, was just one among many things, that changed my mind about the city. The second one was Local people. People who think. Think about what matters - less pollution and more art; what is best for them and the new generation - sex-ed on TV and exercising together in the parks; what is OK and what is not - discrimination, bus driver, saying “Hi” through a speaker, straight men holding hands to support gay rights...
Nowhere have I somewhere seen such a creative approach towards architecture as well - the small area next to Cafe de Ceuvel, made out of unused barge ships, transformed into studios, is worth visit alone. And the tiles all over the city... Beautiful ornaments, decorated entrances, floors and ceilings. I am a weird maniac of small things, so we just couldn’t leave the photo shoot without taking one snap next to a deep-blue tile puzzle.
"It appears, decorative tiles are hard to find in a city center nowadays!”, - photographer Melanie giggled, as we keep walking for over a half an hour, looking for the perfect ones.
Not sure was it a fact, that me, as a non-smoker, smoked a whole cigarette of strong tobacco, or was it really a friendliness in the air, that left me with a longing feeling after we separated. I miss you, Amsterdam, despite your terrible language and high prices. Please forgive me for everything incorrect I was thinking about you.
Sincerely Yours, Alien.

DJ LeMahieu DFA'ed by Yankees after demotion to bench position
Jorge CastilloJul 9, 2025, 04:54 PM ET Shut ESPN baseball reporter. Coated the Washington Wizards from 2014 to 2016 and the Washington Nationals from 2016 to 2018 for The Washington Submit earlier than masking the Los Angeles Dodgers and MLB for the Los Angeles Occasions from 2018 to 2024. NEW YORK — The New York Yankees designated DJ LeMahieu for project on Wednesday, presumably ending the…
Injuries to Stanton, Gil, and LeMahieu Will Test the Yankees
Brad Penner and Wendell Cruz-Imagn Images A cynic would say that Giancarlo Stanton is in midseason form. On Saturday, the Yankees officially announced that the 35-year-old slugger will open the season on the injured list due to recurring issues with both elbows. He’s not the only prominent Yankee who’s out of the picture — or at least doubtful — for the Opening Day roster, as Luis Gil will be…

It's nice to see Juan Soto back in right field and Alex Verdugo in left field where they belong. With Rizzo out for a couple of months, I gotta wonder why DJ isn't playing first base and Cabrera isn't at third. I'm glad that Rice is getting his shot, but DJ was a monster at first base in the past so it seems logical that he should be there replacing Rizzo. Cabrera has been great as a third baseman. Didn't Boone learn from the Red Sox debacle that it is a good idea to keep things the same when they're working perfectly? If it ain't broke, why change it? Just saying. We'll see how it goes, I guess. I really wish Aaron Boone would discuss these things with me before he makes any changes 😁 let's go Yankees!!!!! 😊😍⚾️⚾️⚾️
For the record, I'm happy that Ben Rice got his first chance today in the majors. The joy on his face made my day. I guess that this time, Aaron Boone was right. 😉 I don't mind being wrong. Especially when it turns out this well. You go, Ben!!
