Rottmnt fandom, you have some explaining to do.

Because you're telling me that when it comes to Casey Junior referring to Future Leo as "Sensei" and "Master Leonardo" that just oozes "Leo was a beloved dad figure to him" to the entire rottmnt fandom in every comic, fanfic, and conversation, but when the 2012 turtles called their father "Sensei" and "Master Splinter" that speaks to the fact that he's only their teacher and they don't have a paternal bond with him?

Because even if you believe that "it's only a popular headcanon in the rottmnt verse," it still shows that the fandom is capable of grasping the concept that "Master" or "Sensei" can be a term containing affection. A term that one can use in conversation, knowing it refers to the fact that one is a paternal figure with whom mutual familial love is shared.

So could you please explain to me how you understand it perfectly in your own fandom, but as soon as you step outside it, the concept is too far-fetched and out there from the usual social norms.

Make it make sense.
