Leopold and Ophelia was the epitome of girlboss/boytoy dynamics and I think that’s very sexy of them
Framework!Fitz: Oh, I like that smile. That's a smile full of evil.
Ophelia: Is there any other reason to smile?

It has certainly been a minute, hasn't it? But I did it!
4. It's not that bad, I just have anxiety.
Ophelia was late, because the train had been delayed, and her boss wouldn’t stop talking about the quarter’s numbers and when her reviews were due (even though she had already turned them in to HR for approval ahead of schedule), and then there was a commotion in the lobby as she was trying to leave that held her up.
She had had a plan to get home, change into her date outfit, fix her make up, and then meet Leopold at the restaurant.
Instead, she went straight to the restaurant, her hair and make up a disaster, a stain on her blouse, and close to forty-five minutes late. He was sitting at the table still when she got there, since she’d at least had enough forethought to text him letting him know she’d be late. He was waiting for her, dressed impeccably well as always, in her favorite suit and tie, his hair perfectly in place, and he looked exactly like the first time she’d seen him. Except he was leaned forward a bit, his chin resting on his hand. It was a relaxed posture she’d seen more and more often now that he was becoming for comfortable with her, and her with him, with the added bonus of Alistair’s shadow being off Leopold’s mind.
“I’m so incredibly sorry,” she said, approaching and nearly tripping over her own feet in her haste. He started to rise and she waved him away. “I’m okay. That’s the kind of day I’ve had, quite honestly.”
“I’m sorry to hear that.”
She laughed and took her seat across from him finally. Just the sight of him at the table was enough to make the whole day okay.
“It’s not that bad,” she admitted, shrugging out of her coat even though that meant the stain on her blouse was visible. “I just have anxiety.”
“You do?”
“Oh, yes. I was diagnosed before I was twenty. It’s something I live with, and on bad days, it makes things seem much worse than they are, but – you haven’t noticed?”
“I’ve just never met someone open about it like that. My dad, well, not my dad, but I suppose you can guess what Alistair would have said.”
“Oh, I have an idea,” she replied. Leopold lifted a bottle of champagne out of an ice bucket between them, offering it to her. “Yes, please.”
He poured her a glass and passed it to her with his most charming smile.
“Is your day going better now, at least?”
“Much better,” she replied.
“To better,” he said, raising his own glass in a subtle toast.
“To good,” she said, a little inside joke between them.
“To good,” he echoed, and they clinked their glasses together before taking a sip, eyes never leaving each other’s.

Happy Father’s Day! This is my last fic for my holiday mini-boom, and there is a scene where this little family gets to go to the park and eat ice cream which (I think) qualifies it for @agentsofchallenges‘ hot shield summer!
Summary: Father's Day is a complicated holiday in Leopold's life, but he can appreciate getting a few extra days with his daughter to go to the park and celebrate with their usual traditions. This year, however, he has another person in his life to make sure he gets to enjoy the day.
Warnings: implied child abuse (general Alistair nonsense)

Sneak Peek:
The smell of cinnamon drifted from the kitchen to the living room with the sound of gentle music from the countertop speaker. It was still early, the sun barely starting to filter in through the blinds that covered the window over the sink, and Leopold had most of the apartment to himself. He'd woken up early, and instead of wasting time trying to get back to sleep or waking up his girlfriend, he'd shuffled out to the kitchen in sweatpants and a comfortable shirt to start breakfast. Between the playlist he'd turned on and the French toast in the pan in front of him and the knowledge that two of the people he cared about the most were right down the hall, it was one of the most peaceful Saturday mornings he'd ever experienced.
He hummed along when the guitar started on the next song, smiling to himself in the quiet. It wasn't often that he got the time to himself like this, to just relax and appreciate the routine that his life had settled into. Only six months ago, his work-life balance was non-existent, and everything revolved around the same person it had since he was a kid. So many years of his life had been lost to that old cycle, trying to please someone who would never be happy no matter what he did, sacrificing so many of the things that made him happy in his useless attempts, watching his friends around him live their lives while his own seemed to stand still. Grant had gotten married and had a child in the same time that Jemma had found someone new and gotten engaged, and Leopold had been there, still a part of their lives but so far behind.

4. If you need me, I’ll be in the bottom of one of those fishbowl fruity drinks with the umbrellas, drowning my sorrows in alcohol-soaked cherries.
Leopold tried to sink down further in his seat while he took a deep breath, his eyes squeezed shut in an attempt to block out the noise around them. He didn’t even remember whose wedding it was - some high ranking agent, or their relative, or something like that. They were there to make a polite appearance, wish the newlyweds well, and then quietly excuse themselves.
That would be easier to do if he wasn’t spending the entire time hiding behind a glass and his girlfriend, avoiding all social interaction.
It was one of his bad days, one of the days he couldn’t stop fidgeting. His anxiety was worse than normal, and while he knew he had certain responsibilities, he didn’t necessarily want to face them. This was why they’d moved in together, so he had a safe place to spend his time away from the pressures of his responsibilities, where his father couldn’t find him, where agents couldn’t track him down to ask questions, where it was just the two of them.
When he started to pick at the nail of his thumb, Ophelia didn’t waste any time before reaching for his hand to distract his fingers. If they really were expected to be there for a little while longer, he needed to relax, and not show any outward signs of his spiraling thoughts.
“Finish your water, and then we can make up an excuse to leave before they cut the cake.”
With a frown, Leopold shook his head and gave her hand a squeeze. Pointedly, he sat up straighter and sipped from his glass again without even trying to change his expression. He wasn’t happy about how they were spending the evening, but he wasn’t going to risk their reputations just because he wasn’t doing well. “No, I’ll be fine. We’ll stay until after cake, do this the right way, and then take tomorrow off.”
She was quiet for a moment, watching him until she spoke. “And what are you going to do about your nerves right now? It’s bad enough that you’re shaking your knee.”
He looked down at the bouncing knee in question, glaring at it like the traitor it was before forcing it to stop moving. He was an adult, and adults had responsibilities, and those responsibilities didn’t care how anxious he was from day to day. “Well... you can stay here and make small talk, the worst kind of talk, and I’ll go hide so that I don’t make a complete fool of myself.” Getting to his feet, he flashed her a too-wide smile, the kind that didn’t reach his eyes. “If you need me, I’ll be at the bottom of one of those fishbowl fruity drinks with the umbrellas, drowning my sorrows in alcohol-soaked cherries.”
Ophelia let out a sigh, squeezing his hand again before he fully pulled away. “Be careful. Don’t hurt yourself. Don’t fall in if you have to go to the bathroom. I’m not explaining to the media that my boyfriend drowned in a toilet because he was too stubborn to go home while in the middle of an anxiety attack.”
“No promises, and I love you, too.”

a Leophelia Valentine’s Day fic, written to follow up from sparks into fireworks
Summary: After his transfer, Leopold thought things would be easy. They wouldn't be perfect, nothing ever really was, but he was actively starting to pursue a new relationship, and he didn't have his daughter over Valentine's Day weekend, and he could actually plan something romantic - at least, that had been the plan, until he got a call from his ex-wife's fiancé, asking for a favor.

Leophelia, with background WillJem and a very subtle Huntingbird reference
Sneak Peek:
"Leo! Thank goodness, I caught you. We need a huge favor."
He let out a sigh, squeezing his eyes shut for a moment before glancing at the time. "Can it wait until my lunch hour? When I said I’m about to start, I meant like right now-”
“Oh! No!” Will interrupted him quickly, and he heard the deep breath he took through the phone. “No, we don’t need you to do anything right this second. It’s just... can you take Alya for the weekend?”
Frowning, Leopold glanced at the date and time in the corner of his computer screen. He’d only dropped his daughter off at school half an hour before, and that was after having her all week. The new arrangement was great, it really was, but it didn’t mean much if they were going to keep changing up the schedule. “I... isn’t it Jemma’s weekend? I already made plans with Ophelia for Sunday...”
“Yeah, that’s... that’s why we’re asking. Because of Valentine’s Day. It’s just that, I have to fly back out to Houston Monday morning to finish my paperwork and put in my last two weeks before the transfer. And...”
“And, you were hoping you could have the day free so you could spend some time together before you left,” he finished, letting out a slow sigh.

a Leophelia rivals-to-lovers office AU, written for @aosficnet2‘s Topsy Turvy Hallmark Holiday Challenge!
Summary: Between an ever changing project timeline and trying to compete for the big office promotion, Leopold Fitz doesn't have time to adapt to working with a new partner right before the holidays. And that doesn't include everything else going on in his life - his ex-wife is engaged, he's missing time with his daughter, and his boss is out to get him. Ophelia is sick and tired of the boss's son having everything handed to him, and she's sure the big promotion isn't going to be any different. But that doesn't mean she isn't going to fight for it, even if she's been suddenly assigned to his project and has to deal with his foul mood for a week before Christmas. OR, I accidentally fell into the work-oriented-woman and dad-trying-his-best Hallmark tropes
Words: 14836
Leophelia, past-Fitzsimmons, background KaraWard and WillJem
Sneak Peek:
"As of right now, it seems as though Grant Ward is on paternity leave. We'll have to find you another partner for this project."
"Alistair, I can do it on my own, it's not-"
He was cut off before he could finish the sentence, his shoulders slouching while he frowned and set his jaw. It would be better for everyone involved if he didn't interrupt his stepfather with even so much as a sigh. "Leopold, you're getting a new partner, and that's final. If you can't play nice, I can give the entire project to someone else who can."
Leopold felt the rest of the fight leave him, biting his lip instead of speaking up right away. If the man who held the key to his livelihood didn't hate him for something he couldn't control, he wouldn't have hesitated at all, but a promotion was on the line. Unfortunately, he had to prove beyond a doubt that he deserved it, and Alistair had a lot of doubt, when it came to him. "Okay, fine, but I'm going to need a new partner quickly if you don't even want me to do the meeting for funding on my own."
