Day 31: Aftercare (2022)
Newt and Parker are spending time together while Newt looks after the magical creatures. But Parker is being more silly than helpful...So Newt decides to get revenge in the most innocent way he knows how to.
This fanfic is for @that-one-gay-boy. I hope you enjoy!!
Parker and Newt were in the suitcase, taking care of the magical creatures. The truth is, Parker had known Newt for a long time now. You both grew up going to Hogwarts, and he sometimes talked to Newt during classes and in the hallway as kids. But the older Parker got, the more he talked to Newt and got to know him better. And now as adults, they were very close.
Parker was walking alongside Newt inside the suitcase, watching as Newt interacted with all the different magical creatures in their little areas. It was fascinating seeing him interact with and mother all these different creatures. He always treated them kindly and advocated for their individual needs and wants.
But…Parker was smirking as he slowly took something from the desk. He later watched as Newt picked up the book, but looked around for his favorite quill.
“Huh…the quill…Where is it?” He mumbled to himself. He picked up the niffler, and put him down. “What am I thinking? The quill would be too big for a niffler…” Newt muttered to himself.
Parker smirked and poked him with something other than his finger. Newt turned around. “Yes? What do- Oh…” He took the pen from Parker’s hand and gave the pen a wave with a flick of the wrist. “Thanks…”
Not long after, Parker would resume poking and prodding Newt. But not with a pen this time…rather, with his finger.
Newt would let go of a few billywigs, and Parker would strike.
Poke, poke, pokepoke, poke
Newt would lift up his pen to pause his writing, and Parker would strike.
Poke-poke…pokepokepoke…poke
Newt would lift himself up from feeding the diricrawls, and Parker would strike.
Poke-poke-poke, poke-poke, pokepoke…poke
And lastly, Newt would simply look at Parker. “Please…It is difficult to-”
Pokepokepokepoke-pokepokepokepoke-pokepoke-pokepoke-
Newt tried to swat Parker’s hand away. But Parker was just determined to break the man’s sanity.
Pokepokepoke-pokepoke-poke-poooooke, poke, poke-
Newt grabbed his finger with his right hand. “Parker.” Newt warned calmly.
Parker just laughed. “What? Can’t handle a bit of distraction?”
Newt sighed and let go of Parker’s finger. The last thing he wanted to do was get angry at him. That would just give Parker the reaction he was looking for.
Newt resumed his duties as a magizoologist, while Parker kept on watching. But the act of annoying Newt wasn’t quite over yet…not by a long shot.
Parker and Newt would both clean up the suitcase enclosure. And Parker would begin his tomfoolery again. “Hey- hey- hey Newt-” Parker called.
Newt ignored him.
“hey- hey Newt- Newt-” Parker continued.
Newt froze for just a second…then grabbed his wand. “Tergeo.” Newt said as he cleaned up the dust and the mysterious liquid residue on the ground.
“Hey Newt- Newt- Newt- Hey Newt-” Parker continued.
Newt inhaled. “Yes?”
Parker smiled evilly. “Hi.”
Newt hung his head and sighed. “Hi…”
Parker just laughed at his reaction. It was so worth it!
“Hey Newt! Newt- Newt- Hey- Newt- Newt-”
“Parker-”
“Hey Newt- Newt- Hey Newt- Hey- Hey- Newt- Newt-”
“That’s it.” Newt pointed his wand at Parker and did a drawing motion in the shape of a pretzel. “Incarcerous!” Newt called.
Parker yelped and squirmed as he felt ropes wrap around his wrists. “Now wait-wait-WAIT!” Parker yelled as he pulled on the ropes that were restricting his movement.
“You know…when Nifflers have been especially naughty, you often have to tickle them to make them stretch out and drop all the coins from their pouches.” Newt told Parker. “And since you’ve been stealing items of mine
Parker bit his lip. “I-...” Parker changed his facial expression to look more calm. “That may work for the niffler, but that would never work on me.” Parker argued.
“Oh really?” Newt asked. “I’m afraid to say I don’t believe you.” Newt told him.
Parker smirked. “Do your worst, Scamander.” Parker ordered.
Newt smirked as well. “I was hoping you were going to say that.”
And so Newt put his wand onto a nearby chair. He walked up to Parker and opened his pocket. Inside the pocket was a bowtruckle. “Would you like to help me, Pickett?” Newt asked the bowtruckle.
Pickett quickly jumped out of his pocket and ran down Newt’s arm. The bowtruckle ran under Parker’s white collared shirt and started tickling its little fingers inside Parker’s belly button.
With Pickett busy, Newt started tickling Parker’s armpits.
Parker squealed and bursted out laughing almost right away. “HEHEhehehey! Nehehewt nohohohohoho!” Parker reacted.
“A little reminder that Pickett is also tickling you.” Newt added.
“Ihihihi knohohow. Buhuhuhut yohohour tihickling’s wohohohohorse!” Parker told him.
“Is it?” Newt reacted, not expecting that. “Well…I…thank you.” Newt muttered, growing sheepish.
Parker couldn’t help but giggle at Newt. Even when he has the upper hand, Newt can’t help being the cute little hufflepuff he is.
Newt shook his head to get out of his head and went back to tickling Parker. This time, he went down to the ribs to see if his ribs were ticklish. “Perhaps your ribs are-”
“GYAAAHAHAHAHAHAhahaha! OHOHOHO NOHOHOHO!” Parker bursted out loudly.
Newt couldn’t help the big smile on his face. “I guess your ribs are at least a smidge ticklish.” Newt teased.
“YOHOHOU THIHIHIHINK?!” Parker reacted.
Newt chuckled at his reaction. “Almost every magical creature seems to have different amounts of ribs.” Newt told him. “Phoenix’s have 18 ribs, Grindylows have 13 ribs, and Marmites don’t have any ribs.” Newt told him. “Now…I believe we have 24 ribs…” Newt muttered as he started poking the bottom ribs.
Parker squealed and squeaked as his ribs were poked and prodded. Newt poked both bottom symmetrical ribs at the same time. “Two…”
Parker squeaked and squeezed his eyes shut as he cackled. “NEHEHEWT NOHOHO!”
Newt smiled and moved up to his next pair of symmetrical ribs. “Four…” He mumbled.
“IHIHI HAHAHAVE 24 RIHIHIBS!” Parker yelled.
Newt chuckled. “I still need to check in case you’re missing any ribs.” Newt told him. “Six…”
Parker giggled helplessly as Newt kept counting the ribs. “THIHIHIS IHIHIS SIHIHILLY.”
Newt gasped and smiled brightly. “Says the one who kept poking me, stealing my things, and calling my name just so you could say ‘Hi’!” Newt reacted.
“IHIHIT WAHAHAS FUHUHUNNYYY!” Parker argued.
“Well now, it is my turn to have some fun.” Newt decided. “Six…”
“EHEHEIGHT.” Parker told him.
“Oh yeah…Wait, was I at eight? Or six?” Newt asked with a growing smirk as he removed his fingers from Parker’s ribs. “Looks like I have to-”
“NO! NOHO!” Parker interrupted.
“-Start aaaall over.” Newt told him.
“YOU SUCK!” Parker argued.
“You suck as well, Parker.” Newt replied calmly as he moved his fingers to the first pair of ribs. “Two…”
Parker bursted out in glorious laughter once again. Parker was way too ticklish on his ribcage. It was quite unfair, if he could say so himself. “PLEHEHEHEASE!” Parker begged.
“Four…” Newt said slowly.
Parker squeaked and guffawed in a bit of a higher octave. “IHIHIHI-”
Newt moved to the next pair of ribs. “Siiiix…”
Parker accidentally snorted as he struggled to get himself free from the ropes. “IHIHI CAHAHAHAN’T!” Parker told him.
“I believe you can.” Newt told him. “Eight…”
Parker whined a little bit in the middle of his laughter. “IHIHIT’S TOHOHOHOO-”
“Ten…” Newt interrupted him.
Parker tugged on his hands to try and get free. “IHIHI’M GOHOHONNA GEHEHET YOHOU FOR THIHIHIHIS!” Parker told him.
Newt chuckled. “I will deal with that when it comes.” Newt told him. “For now though…Twelve…” Newt kept counting.
Parker was kicking his feet helplessly as he wiggled and squirmed around. How Newt was able to keep counting his ribs without losing his spot, was a literal miracle.
“IHIHIT’S SOHOHO BAHAHAHAHAHAD!” Parker told him.
“Is it really that bad?” Newt asked.
“YEHEHEHES!” Parker replied.
“Well, I’m halfway. So…” Newt moved onto the next pair of ribs. “Fourteen…”
Parker’s laughter was still strong and mighty, despite growing more and more tired. He didn’t know how long he was going to be able to last.
[8 minutes later:]
“Twenty four.” He counted, wiggling his fingers on the highest rib pair. He removed his fingers and clapped his hands together in front of himself. “You did it!” Newt cheered.
Parker was a mess of giggles and laughter. The poor man was exhausted. His hair was all askew, his face was slightly sweaty, his back was dripping, and his wrists were only just starting to hurt from the rope digging into his wrists.
Newt smiled and reversed the spell. The ropes let Parker go, and disappeared into thin air. Parker fell to the ground, too tired to even save his face from impact.
Newt chuckled at the funny way Parker landed, before grabbing Parker some water. He also grabbed a towel and wetted it in some ocean water. Newt walked up to Parker and gave Parker the water and damp cloth. “Here you go.”
Parker put up his index finger to signal his need for ‘one more minute’. A couple seconds later, Parker pulled himself up and took the water desperately. He drank it up like it was nothing, and took the damp cloth.
“Would you like a bit of my stew to get your energy back up?” Newt asked.
Parker nodded. “Yes please.”
Newt smiled and gave Parker a glass bowl of the stew with a metal spoon. Parker laughed as he saw the word [HOGWARTS] on the bowl. “Did you steal this from the school?” Parker asked.
Newt hid his slight embarrassment. “It was purely accidental.” Newt admitted.
Parker couldn’t help but laugh at the reaction. He took a spoonful of the stew, before humming in reaction to the stew. It tasted amazing!
Newt smiled and sat down across from Parker as he ate his own bowl of the stew. Newt’s bowl was a bigger tin bowl, which had half the stew still left inside. Newt ate a spoonful of the stew and looked up at Parker.
Parker was already looking much better. His face had a bit more color in it again, and his breathing was a little more slow and controlled.
Parker hummed again and put his hand into his own pocket. “I forgot: I took one of your-”
Parker paused his words as his hand felt really wet suddenly. He pulled it out and widened his eyes as he saw super black liquid completely covering his fingers.
“Oh no…” Parker muttered as he looked at Newt.
Newt stared at Parker in disbelief. “…Is that my new ink bottle?” He asked with a stifled laugh.
Parker dug his hand further into the pocket and pulled out the whole bottle. The bottle was half empty, with the black ink contents completely covering Parker’s poor pants pocket.
And all Parker could say in response, was “Uuuuuh…Maaaybeee?”
And this concludes Tickletober! I hope you all enjoyed it this year, and I'll resume going back to catching up on my list of fanfic prompts. See you around! This has been fun.
