You don’t have to call it “the pet trope” if you mean you think the captivity of tinies as an antagonistic plot device is interesting rather than a romanticized dynamic between a giant and a tiny. But like if it’s a problem then the giants that are main characters obviously wouldn’t consider the tiny a pet so I feel like it’s not a pet trope? Because they aren’t indulging in that aspect of society and instead humanize the tinies?? Idk I’m rambling.
