Omg, I need more ice cream au! Sweet, chubby cheeked, goofy teenage Max needs all of the good things in life (aka Charles) đŠđš Since Charles isnât a driver in this au! I imagine that he wouldnât have his license yet (mostly he biked around Monaco). Can we have Max teaching him to drive? Or them getting their licenses together as Max didnât have his when he started in F1?

Lmaooo neither of our babies can drive (yet) in this AU đ Max didnât get his road license until late 2016 and right now, weâre in late 2015 so we have teenage Max and Charles walking, biking, or taking public transport (they can do this since Max is still a rookie and no one knows who Charles is).
I just love the idea of Max glowing with happiness, walking hand in hand with Charles, not caring that all the other F1 drivers are cruising around in their sports cars and yachts and private jets. Until someone mentions their holiday plans during one race weekend. They talk about taking their boyfriend to Paris in their private jets. Another mentions a holiday in Ibiza. One says he bought his girlfriend a Porsche.
Max can only look down, for once remaining quiet instead of eagerly chatting away. HeâŠhe hadnât planned anything that fancy for Charles.

Oscar doesnât know how he let Lando convince him to come out when he knew it would turn out like this. Landoâs disappeared into the crowd, dancing or flirting or getting a drink, and Oscarâs left wondering if it isnât too early for him to go home. He looks at his drink, judging how much he has left. Itâs low enough to down in one gulp, which is exactly what heâs doing when Charles appears at his side.
âLooks like youâre in need of a new drink.â Oscarâs made conscious of his state, face flushed from his drinks and additionally flustered by Charlesâ sudden appearance. Heâs got his eyebrows raised, a subtle smirk like heâs aware of his poor timing. He places his hand on Oscarâs shoulder, guiding him in the direction the bar without waiting for confirmation.
