I love PR SPD…

… Like, it’s literally one of two PR series that I genuinely like and would rewatch for themselves (I normally can’t stay focused and decide I’d rather watch the Sentai), along w/ Ninja Storm (no, I am not over it, now leave me alone I need to cry again).

But one thing I will forever disrespect them for is playing the ‘actually his wife’s alive’ card on Doggie bc there is no narrative reason for it other than to try and derail his chemistry w/ Kat (not helped by their counterparts being an item in the Sentai).

Like what were they afraid of??? She’s an alien too??? But no, she looks human so quick we have to do something to stop people shipping her w/ the badass blue dog?? Even though we’re reenacting scenes from the Sentai, where those two characters are one of the only sets of confirmed couples in the franchise??

I mean I suppose ultimately, it’s better than them trying to pair her off w/ Boom or something or introducing some rando, but still.
