SEEMED LIKE SINCE SHE WAS THERE, THEY DECIDED SHE COULD GO SNOOPING AROUND. She wasn’t entirely surprised by it but was thankful to be doing anything else than training the newbies. There was a reason why she wasn’t there full time after all. But after the run down of what was going on, where she was going, and why, she headed out.
It never failed to amaze her what people would do to get a little money, love, attention, whatever they wanted. She just never understood why they had to resort to human offerings to get their way. But that was part of the mission today, to find out what this cult was known for dabbling in and why. Thankfully Giles had called around ahead of time and found a lead; a little book shop with books older than what most of Barnes and Noble held.
Once she found the shop nestled in the corner of the plaza, Faith let herself in and looked around. The all too familiar smell of musty old books greeted her, reminding her of the library back in Sunnydale. “Giles’ wet dream,” she muttered to herself as she searched for the owner or anyone who worked there. “Hello?” she called out, spotting a desk and moving towards it. Leaning to the side to peak around a stack of books she was surprised to see the dark haired woman. “Uh...hi...” she flashed a smile and briefly raised her hand in a wave.
