EMERGENGY PRAYER CIRCLE FOR AGENT KALLUS
A little sketch for my fellow Agent Kallus fans.
Through Imperial Eyes
Okay so according to the preview the episode may or may not be entirely (and I mean entirely entirely) from Kallus’ POV and we see everything, quite literally, through imperial eyes, because Kallus still is an Imperial, if maybe only in name. And wouldn’t it be just amazing if the entire episode were literally told from an imperial’s eyes - only to shift to the normal Third-Person-View we’re used to at the end? Because no matter how this episode ends, whether it will conclude with Kallus’ death (PLEASE DON’T) or with him finally, finally defecting and fleeing the empire, we will no longer see it through the eyes of an imperial agent - but through the eyes of a rebel.
Thoughts on Through Imperial Eyes (a lot of spoilers)
I honestly didn’t expect that episode to go down the way it did. I was expecting to see those scenes of Kallus wandering on Lothal (which I hope will still be shown in season 3, I’m betting on double agent droid or either one of the zero hour episodes for them).
This episode made me so much more afraid for Kallus’s safety, especially since Thrawn knows he’s Fulcrum, and because he stayed with the Empire (HE SHOULD’VE JUST KRIFFING JUMPED ON THE SHUTTLE HE WOULD’VE LIVED) Wow Dave Finoli really plays with our emotions (should’ve known better than to believe that the anxiety would end after this episode)
Thrawn kriffing knows where the rebel base is now. I’m kind of stunned at how well they used irony in this episode - the rebels’ efforts to hide the base just marked it as the target, something that was hinted at in Warhead.
I was suspecting that Kallus might frame Lyste, and it did happen. I’m not that surprised that he would go so far to conceal his identity, but his resourcefulness is exceptional. His skill was even remarked upon by Thrawn, and that’s something. Clearly he was an extraordinary student.
I actually feel sorry for Lyste, I don’t think he deserved to be framed. He was just an enthusiastic imperial doing his best to rise up the ranks of the Empire, but that placed his as the perfect scapegoat. He might feel so betrayed by Kallus, too, considering they shared a closing working relationship (almost a friendship, since Kallus did comfort and warn him) and yet Kallus didn’t stand up for him. His desperate cries while he was dragged away confirm that. We might not see him again, but I really hope he’s okay, especially since Thrawn knows he’s not Fulcrum.
Also Thrawn is just terrifying at hand-to-hand combat. It’d be awesome to see him go one-on-one with Kallus though
PETITION FOR AGENT KALLUS NOT TO DIE IN THROUGH IMPERIAL EYES!!!!!!
Me: Okay, I know I’m scared for ‘Through Imperial Eyes’ but even if Kallus dies you’ll be okay. You’ve gotten through character deaths before, you’ll get through this one.
Also me: LET KALLUS LIVE FILONI I’M BEGGING YOU IF HE DIES I’LL DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
